UP: less is more

Look UP, the light coming from the ceiling is radiant and evenly balanced, perfect for creating a warm atmosphere. Just like a skylight or roof light the UP lighting collection, designed by Ramos & Bassols, combines the standard and enduring design of ceiling light panels with LED technology to create a unique and visually unobtrusive fitting which brings life to interior spaces with its ‘natural lighting’ effect. In contrast with the classic ceiling light fittings to be found in the majority of residential, public and commercial projects UP can be integrated with the architecture, lending an aesthetic value that compliments the characteristics of the space. Through its characterful yet unobtrusive design, defined by precise lines and even light distribution this collection recovers the ceiling as an important feature of fully integrated projects. The ceiling roses and cornices of classic early 20th Cen- tury aristocratic houses provide the inspiration for UP. Its subtle design and contours resembling the surround frames of that period create a momentary illusion of light passing through the ceiling. Using an innovative END LIGHTING system, LED light is projected laterally through the edge profile of the methacrylate diffuser, thus achieving an even shadow- free illumination. The technology also allows for a ceiling mounted insta- llation, with an overall depth of just 7 cm and minimal thickness. UP is available in two different rectangular and three different circular versions in a choice of two finishes, dimmable using DALI, 1-10V button mode. A versatile lighting feature that can be easily installed and integrated with all kinds of architectural projects.
