Sant’Agata Bolognese/Goodwood, 27 June 2016 - A #miurasv restored by #lamborghini PoloStorico was awarded ‘overall winner’ in the Cartier Style et Luxe Concours d’Elegance at #goodwoodfestivalofspeed 2016, in the year that Automobili #lamborghini celebrates the Miura’s 50th #anniversary.
Miura chassis 4846 is the original #miurasv shown at the 1971 Geneva motor show, and the subject of a full restoration by Lamborghini’s specialist restoration center, PoloStorico.
Enrico Maffeo, head of #lamborghini PoloStorico, received the prize from Laurent Feniou, managing director of Cartier UK. The nine-strong judging panel included #lapoelkann; #flaviomanzoni, Ferrari’s vice president of #design; Sir #jonathanive, Apple’s chief #design officer; and designer #marcnewson.
“We are very proud that the first full restoration by #lamborghini PoloStorico collects this award from the Cartier Style et Luxe concours #event,” said #stefanodomenicali, Chief Executive Officer of Automobili #lamborghini. “Goodwood Festival of Speed is an #event that celebrates the passion that so many have for all things automotive, both past and present, and #lamborghini is proud to be a part of this.”
Goodwood’s #lordmarch took the wheel of a Huracán Spyder, alongside #stefanodomenicali, in the Michelin Supercar Run, in which a Huracán Avio also went ‘up the hill’. On its stand Automobili #lamborghini displayed the Aventador Miura Homage, a limited edition of 50 units produced to celebrate the Miura’s 50th #anniversary, together with a Huracán Super Trofeo, Huracán Spyder and the special edition Huracán Avio.
Also on display in the Cartier Style et Luxe was a #lamborghini class celebrating designer Marcello Gandini’s ‘Raging Bulls’, which included an Espada, Countach, Jarama, Silhouette and Diablo.
