Even through the breathtaking beauty or the creative originality of the collections that Ceramica Sant’Agostino exhibits at #cersaie 2016, together with the preview presentation of some examples of products made through the new facilities of the latest generation - first of all, the slabs in the large 90x180cm/36”x72” and 120x120cm/48”x48”, we want to reiterate the role of Ceramica Sant'Agostino as a benchmark internationally recognized for style, elegance, quality, reliability, modernity and efficiency. These values are summarized in the story of people in love, for over fifty years, with the trade and art of "making ceramics".

MATERIALS FOR A LIVING ARCHITECTURE: le collezioni #cersaie 2016.

FABER Collection

Faber is the porcelain reproduction, through the most advanced technology combined with our sensibility, skill and wisdom of "craftsmen of ceramics", the typical Tuscan hand-finished wood, whose appearance, between slats, caissons and inlays, comes from old planers and from old techniques of coating and restoration still used on the carpenter's bench.

The essence of the ceramic wood-look Faber is so precious and exclusive and unique because it comes from such a high traditional creativity that lives in an eternal past as its beauty: the Renaissance in Florence, revived on fine ceramic wood-look planks, where the signs of the saw cut seem softened by time, the edges are gently rounded and irregularly blunt, the hand-planed and artfully antiqued surface reveals areas of colour delicately nuanced and natural light effects.

The uniqueness on the market and the complex manufacturing peculiarity of this ceramic wood is represented by its edges, which are rounded and rectified at the same time.

The collection offers four warm colours, from white to walnut. In addition to the classical plank there is an inlay parquetry - which enhances the flavour of wood resulting from the restoration of antique floors -, a multi-size plank consisting of several pre-cut boards and a list decorated with geometric motifs

METROCHIC Collection

Creating continuous movements, themes and harmonies of structures, lines, designs and colours, with a modern and elegant visual musicality.

This is Metrochic: a white body collection designed to create countless wall games with three white three-dimensional structures - in hollow circles, intertwining structures and embroidery. Three graphic and decorative wallpaper patterns, even cementine floor tiles developed in 45 different subjects - all in shades of grey and metropolitan vintage flavour. Three walls - two plain colour satin tiles, one stitched-fabric effect - a mini-chevron and a relief decorated mosaic.

Based on two concrete-effect grey plain tiles - a light one and a darker one -, neutral and aesthetically immaculate, combined with a matching porcelain floor, the collection shows its aesthetic refinement with styles, shapes, colour and geometric patterns from the past tailored to the taste of contemporary #design.

SET Collection

The contemporary languages, not only of the project but the same everyday life, are increasingly fluid, in the aesthetic values, social, economic.

Nothing is more eclectic than the evolved ceramic matter, which seems to play free - in an alchemy of synthesis between derivations, intersections and compositions - with other materials: by studying, interpreting and shaping to make them more suitable for all the requirements of contemporary building and living.

A true fusion of different materials - cement: CONCRETE; cement-fabric: DRESS and TARTAN; cement with marble: GEM; wood: WOOD; metal: JEWEL; stone: WALL - that intersect to join up one to the other and give life to small ceramic masterpieces, a collection with no equal: Set.

The creative and material inspiration underlying the genesis of this project are manifold. They range from the manual processing of concrete structures for CONCRETE version, to the weft of entwined stripes of a cotton carpet set in concrete for DRESS, to the Palladian marble inside the structure for GEM - which recalls the floor of the historic Olivetti shop in Piazza San Marco in Venice, designed by Italian architect Carlo Scarpa – to the patchwork on the natural essence of Danish wood for WOOD and the painted or chipped walls for WALL, to end up with inserts of precious metal, a tribute to the precious 1950s #design, for JEWEL.

Set is a rectified porcelain collection available in square and rectangular sizes, starting with the new large tile 120x120cm/48”x48” for CONCRETE and DRESS. The tones include four elegant shades of gray for the cements, the light shade of natural wood, white, the variations of stone on the walls, copper and brass for the metal stripes.

Infinite application possibilities, both stylistic – DRESS is more sophisticated, CONCRETE is more industrial (but still for interior design), in the cement part - and functional, thanks to the wall for indoor and outdoor covering and to the tiles CONCRETE 2.0 with 2 cm thick textured surface. They are introduced for the first time by Ceramica Sant'Agostino in this #cersaie in size 60x90cm/24”x36”, specifically designed for outdoor flooring solutions.

TAILORART Collection

Artistically sophisticated but with discreet sartorial taste, measurably elegant, in tune with the trends that define the most current furnishing trends.

After introducing the ceramic fabric effect of last generation, the development of this mood now continues with the launch of Tailorart collection.

In it ceramics and three-dimensional textured surface is combined with the texture of the madras, to get a porcelain that, available in soft and neutral shades, meets the world of fashion with refined aesthetic, stylistic exclusivity and material power.

THEMAR Collection

Once again Ceramica Sant’Agostino is a master in emulating the marble perfection through the ceramic surface.

Four sources of inspiration around which the Themar collection has been developed: the delicate shades of the marble of Lasa - also known as “white gold” -; the purity and the expressive power of the Veined Statuario; the colour depth of the Savoy Grey and the universal warmth of Crema Marfil.

The visual characteristics of the original stone are reproduced with material richness and perfection in the details, such as to give beauty and naturalness to these ceramic slabs.

Themar, in colour body porcelain, is available both in matte and mirror-polished versions, is ideal for floors and walls applications in residential or public project contexts, even in large size.

This collection, thanks to its stylistic eclecticism and high technical characteristics, it is able to characterize and enhance any space, for residential or commercial use, both aesthetically and functionally.

THEMAR WALL Collection

Themar Wall, the new white body collection of Ceramica Sant’Agostino, has the aesthetics value of a careful selection of marbles through the use of the latest digital technology, the result of the research and development of the company in the Ferrara district.

The visual perfection of shiny surfaces, enhanced by every single technical and aesthetic detail, creates a refined and elegant wall, particularly suited for the bathrooms of public or residential spaces.

Besides, the beauty of Themar Wall is emphasized by two different decorations: a smooth texture, with three-dimensional and geometric effect, in the same textures of real marble, and a mosaic texture, like a fan.

To be even more complete, this collection can be combined with the floor of Themar series.

TIPOS Collection

Tipos represents the maximum evolution of the digital printing technology and the maximum capacity of ceramic creation, the emblem of the artistic and artisan value of each product #design by Ceramica Sant’Agostino.

The rarest travertines existing in nature have been faithfully reproduced and travertine-effect ceramic slabs with a deep aesthetic #design have been invented.

The porcelain collection finds its fullest expression in the Travertine Rigato slabs 60x120cm/24”x48” and 30x60cm/12”x48”, designed to achieve a perfect “continuous vein” installation, which enhances the graphics and material richness of the most valuable travertine.

Essential synthesis of aesthetics and quality of materials, Tipos performs the ceramic art of recreating unique models of beauty in full respect of nature.

The interest in natural stone witnessed by Tipos collection is reaffirmed with the installation “Leaves” designed by Pietre di Rapolano (www.pietredirapolano.com). This installation consists of sculptural elements with organic forms that recall the structure and the characteristic veins of the leaves, creating a parallel with the veins of stone. The lightness of the carved elements is given by the treatment of travertine, which enhances the endless possibilities offered by natural stone, with which it is possible to produce several elements for #interiordesign and decoration to complete the collection.
