Simone Crestani featured at The SALON ART+DESIGN in New York

Simone Crestani, in collaboration with Bernd Goeckler Antiques,  presents at The Salon Art+Design, inside the beautiful frame of Park Avenue Armory in #newyork, a new collection of masterpieces, in balance between the sculpture and the object, that brings Italian Glass through a new scenario.

Crestani's activity, well known for his sophisticated and innovated use of glass, this time breaks the rules and drives glass blowing into a world where it doesn't belong to, the world of furniture #design.

"Eterea" is an example of this new concept, a console table where a walnut board seems to besuspended over a delicate system of glass bubbles.

"It is when things seem impossible that the good ideas come." Crestani says.

In this occasion will be presented also some of the pieces created during his residency at the Corning Museum of Glass (NY) last September, where the young artist went through a new experimental project of merging the two main streams of glass blowing, furnace and flame working. He found an hybrid and very inventive technique,  for some reasons a bit impertinent, but that could be a new method to add at the secular history of glass, history that still amazes.
