For the second time Knoll is among the leading names in the world of design furniture present at the prestigious UNESCO headquarters in Paris

Knoll and the Conference chairs from the #eerosaarinen collection are today inside the auditorium of the #unesco headquarters at 7 Place de Fontenoy in Paris, just as in the original project of 1958. The team of designers responsible for renovating the spaces confirms and recognizes the experience and professionalism that #knoll is able to provide for complex and important customized projects such as this.

The complex was realized between 1953 and 1958 by the three designers Pier Luigi Nervi (Italy), Bernard Zehrfuss (France) and Marcel Breuer (USA) under the supervision of a group of five architects of international renown, known as Les Cinq, namely Domenico Bonura, Renato Lo Presti, Le Corbusier, Markelius Sven and Ernesto Nathan Rogers. It is formed of three main buildings and it is the Y-shaped building that houses the #unesco secretariat and the main auditorium furnished with 800 Conference Chairs tailored to the project.

It is a mark of distinction for #knoll to be present in a building where, starting from the architecture, the intent is to render culture accessible, presenting it as a resource for the pursuit of knowledge in line with Unesco's philanthropic mission to help promote peace and understanding between nations through education, science, culture, communication and information.
