Frag at Salone Del Mobile 2018

Frag’s new collection at the 2018 Milan Furniture Fair is more than just furniture: it offers aesthetic inspiration for a refined, contemporary living environment. Sofa and armchairs, chairs, storage units and accessories come together in sophisticated living rooms, lounges, and welcoming dining areas.

Saddle leather and hides, which the company has worked with for generations, are used with brass and other metals, marble, wood and fine finishes to enhance the timeless beauty of these. Diverse materials are skilfully blended to enhance their true nature in tailor-made pieces made for contract clients, with upholstery and colours customisable on request. Alongside classic ideas there are also braided leathers, velvets and fabrics, used alone or paired with soft and saddle leather, to cover furniture designed for public areas like the new Clubby collection or Square, the new sofa by Christophe Pillet.

The showcase for the world of Frag is once again the work of Ferruccio Laviani, whose artistic display is both minimal and decorative in its use of high-quality materials and architectural references. Half of the perimeter is made up of large windows, opening up the view into the various rooms. In order to create more private, sophisticated spaces, the zones have been separated by marble-effect partitions finished in Kerlite laminated stoneware tiles by Cotto d’Este. The warm beige and brown tones chosen for the stand create a welcoming atmosphere, while underlining the elegance of the new collection.
