Crassevig tables and chairs that are Made in Italy the new collections at Milan 2019

At the 2019 #salonedelmobile, Crassevig’s refined trademark style is on display again in new collections that continue to shine the spotlight on the exquisite detailing and high quality of its bentwood products.

The creations tell the tale of manufacturing that fuses the company’s craftsmanship capabilities with a concrete approach to #design, as also seen in the partnerships with designers.

Among the items unveiled by #crassevig at the furniture fair will be fresh modular additions to the Plug selection and a highly original and innovative lounge chair in the Bias collection. Epitomizing softness and simplicity, the Adena chair brings out the best of the wood from which it is made. The colours in the palette for the new collections are as saturated as ever, but there are some novel hues on display: from blue and dark green to nude pink, which fills the products with charm and allure. The constantly revitalized style is ready to furnish the finest living spaces and contract market locations with on-trend tones.

2019 marks an important milestone for #crassevig: the company is celebrating its 50th anniversary. For half a century, creative visions and manufacturing capabilities have brought iconic designs to life in products that are Made in Italy and boast unmistakable bentwood features.

PLUG, range of benches and tables - #design Marcello Ziliani

The Plug range is now a fully fledged collection that ideally caters to #design needs with genuine flexibility.
Crassevig has teamed up with Marcello Ziliani once again to extend the Plug selection by making new additions: the original tables that were presented a year ago have now been joined by modular benches and low coffee tables.

The common feature found throughout the Plug collection by #crassevig is a joint that can be used to connect table tops to legs and bench seats to backrests.
The same joint can be turned different ways to form compositions of all kinds: it simply needs to face down for tables or up for seating.

The Plug collection by #crassevig was conceived to be sturdy and long-lasting. In addition, its #design is perfect for maintenance purposes. The backrests are raised above the seat, offering quick access for cleaning, while the covers are removable and can be replaced with new colours or washed extremely easily.

BIAS, lounge chair - #design Geckeler Michels

Berlin-based designers David Geckeler and Frank Michels – who have always taken a keen interest in materials and technology – are the creative talents behind the recently expanded Bias collection. There is now a lounge chair to go with the table that was presented at the #salonedelmobile in 2018.
It all began with the idea of a fluttering sheet of paper resting gracefully on a sloping cylinder. The minimalist body calls to mind Finnish chairs made of sheets of wood.

The entire Bias collection of coffee tables is based on a few geometric elements: the key distinctive feature is the base of the sloping cylinder. A flat sheet has been shaped into a three-dimensional curved shell to form the lounge chair.
A considerable amount of wood is used in the Bias collection, which can cater to a wide variety of contemporary needs. It is bursting with personality, so it is more than capable of standing alone in living spaces and the different spheres of the contract market.

There is also a padded version available with thin but high-density foam for superior comfort. Its outstanding originality and innovation are inspired by new ergonomic approaches based on modern lifestyles.

ADENA, chair - #design Gonçalo Campos

The rational, versatile new Adena chair is a refined creation by Gonçalo Campos. It presents a magnificently balanced blend of quality and designer appeal steeped in practicality, softness and solidity.
Conceived to cater effectively to the needs of the contract market, its style stays true to a manufacturing tradition that follows sound construction rules: it has a strong, durable and sturdy shape. The structure is made of solid wood and designed to be stackable. It comes with a choice of wooden finishes and various fabric options for the versions with padded seats and/or backrests.

Even the solid wood version of Adena has an ergonomic, comfortable seat that is exceptionally soft. As well as the materials chosen, softness is also a key component of the very #design of the chair. Its sweeping, winding lines give it a contemporary look that is underlined by the way in which the backrest almost seems to float above the seat. Despite its complexity, the chair has a simple style that makes it an elegant addition to any setting.
