CUPRA pays tribute to the CUPRA Formentor VZ5 with two exclusive new limited editions

CUPRA introduces two exclusive limited editions to the CUPRA Formentor VZ5, where the high-performance crossover SUV’s progressive character is given a new twist with distinct colours and design details.

Just 222 units of each limited edition will be produced, a nod to the anniversary of CUPRA (22/2/2018), a vehicle defined by its name – VZ stands for Veloz in Spanish, meaning quick or fast, and 5 – for the iconic 5-cylinder engine - the perfect signature for the most powerful version of the CUPRA Formentor.

“The CUPRA Formentor VZ5 is the maximum expression of combustion performance and the embodiment of the brand’s a drive to inspire the new generation of car lovers”. Sven Schuwirth, Executive Vice-President for Sales and Marketing: "The limited editions pay tribute to the VZ5 providing a new take on the vehicle’s sporty aesthetic and enhancing its design both inside and out”. 

The two fully equipped limited edition models are distinguished by their new exterior colours. One finished in Century Bronze Matt the other in Enceladus Grey Matt. Both enriching the CUPRA Formentor VZ5’s bold design, one that took aesthetics beyond limits.

The Century Bronze limited edition includes a range of unique additions to the exterior and interior. From the Carbon Fiber Copper mirror covers and exhaust pipes to the 20” copper alloy wheels (there’s also a black option), dark chrome CUPRA lettering and copper logos both inside and out. The interior includes CUPBucket seats in black and stitched black dashboard, perpetuating the feel of sportiness. 

Similarly, the Enceladus Grey limited edition CUPRA Formentor VZ5 gains dark chrome CUPRA lettering and logos and interior decorative elements, Carbon Fiber black mirror covers and exhaust pipes as wells as black 20” alloys (with a copper option available). Inside, this edition also benefits from CUPBucket seats in black and stitched black dashboard.

Both vehicles include laser engraved numbers in the door panel moulding, so owners can instantly see the exclusivity of their limited edition vehicle.

The CUPRA Formentor VZ5 is equipped with the iconic five-cylinder 2.5 litre TSI engine, that delivers 390PS (287kW) and 480Nm of torque.

The engine, mated to the slick DSG dual-clutch transmission and characteristic sound deliver a vehicle without parallel.

The CUPRA Formentor VZ5 limited editions are the pinnacle of the brand, a tribute and embodiment of performance.

Limited to 222 units for each numbered limited edition, they will become among the most exclusive versions in the vehicle’s line-up.
