Jan te Lintelo, owner of LINTELOO, explains how these two factors successfully characterize the identity of the brand, that is known for its exceptional refinement and sophisticated use of materials.
'Made in Italy'
Exclusive designs, as the ones by LINTELOO, need the best possible production methods in order to create beautiful and durable furniture.
And what better way to realize this vision than with authentic Italian craftsmanship skills?
“Italy has everything – beautiful fabric, beautiful furniture, beautiful food,” says Jan te Lintelo, who started shifting production to Italy around 10 years ago, when he went to Italy to buy fabrics in the leading textile regions of Brianza and Veneto. This kicked off the realization that this country holds some of the best local furniture producers on earth. “It’s a continuing story,” says Jan. “We bought the fabrics in Italy. Then I asked the people providing these fabrics if they could also get them produced. Through them I got people doing upholstery, tables and chairs…Having good relations, that is the strength of ‘Made in Italy’. Before we knew it, 90% of the LINTELOO collection was 'Made in Italy'!”
