Bartoli Design creates two new products

Bartoli Design was established in the late 1990s, when Anna, Paolo and Carlo Bartoli began to sign their projects together, and became associates in 2007. Actually, the story began long before, in the 1960s, when Carlo Bartoli, born in 1931, opened his first office with a fellow architect after graduating at the Politecnico of Milan, having learnt the lesson of masters of Italian design and architecture such as Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Luciano Baldessari and Marcello Nizzoli. At first his projects dealt with architecture but soon his interests moved to design, working on objects that he needed for himself.

That’s how he developed a design method based on a meaningful simplicity, that will characterize his work as a designer and lead to important partnerships and products that made the history of Italian design, as the Gaia armchair for Arflex and the 4875 Chair for Kartell, the first chair ever made entirely of polypropylene. On that basis, the following developments grew thanks to the creative contribution of his daughter Anna and son Paolo.

Bartoli Design philosophy has always been to design nonUintrusive products that last over the years and that give the feeling of having always been where you place them. Products that stimulate the imagination and improve life at the same time, providing comfort and wellUbeing. Their design language aims to a "simple" design, the result of a sophisticated process, a consistency and synthesis effort. Their reference values are sincerity in design, respect for tradition and Italian craftsmanship, accompanied by a continuous research work that welcomes and integrates technological innovations, when they offer best possibilities of use, durability, endurance and pleasure.
