Rosenthal Vase Fondale achieves an iF Design Award 2018

The simple and modern #vasefondale, designed by the Office for Product #design for #Rosenthal, wins the third #design award in a row with this year's #ifdesignaward. Thanks to its cylindrical body and its conical collar, the vase acts as a perfect stage for creative floral displays. The purist #design is underlined by a glossy surface inside the cone that is available in platinum, gleaming gold, plain white or striking black and produces a reflective effect that accentuates individual flowers or grasses. A delicate lattice #design makes the flowers almost float in the vase and makes the creation part of a distinctive #design culture.
Office for Product #design is an international #design and consulting studio based in Hong Kong, and was established in 2007 by Nicol Boyd (born 1976) and Tomas Rosén (born 1975). With their thoughtful product ideas and designs in the fields of consumer electronics, lighting, furniture and homeware, the two designers have already won numerous prestigious awards. In 2015, the duo designed the simple and functional Kitchen by Thomas collection of kitchen utensils for #Rosenthal GmbH, which secured prizes such as the 2015 Red Dot #design Award: Product #design.
With more than 6,400 submissions from 54 countries, the #ifdesignaward is one of the most coveted awards worldwide. The award is being granted since more than 60 years by the iF International Forum #design GmbH, Hanover.

The collections are manufactured in the #Rosenthal porcelain factory in Selb and the "Thomas am Kulm" porcelain factory in Speichersdorf, which offer some of the porcelain industry's most advanced production facilities anywhere in the world and deliver sustainable manufacturing with careful use of resources thanks to the forward- looking investments that have been made.
New interior collections and accessories enrich the #Rosenthal world by adding designer objects that go far beyond the limits of a conventional table setting and round off the huge product variety.
