Pianca at Salone del Mobile
For the 55th consecutive year, #pianca is confirming its presence at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile di #milano and is attending with an exceptional stand. A collaboration between designer Robin Rizzini, chief designer at Studio Metrica and entrepreneur Aldo #pianca led to the creation of a #design that's asking to be noticed.
Fortified by its roots, history and the professional skills brought into the company by various generations, and fully aware of the manufacturing and cultural heritage passed on from the local area, #pianca has decided to exhibit this year with a project actually inspired by the past and its appeal, the need for reflection and the promotion of the values tied to work through the reconversion of those places which provided the backdrop to the industrial, economic and social history of Italy. The idea for Pianca's stand #design at the 55th #salonedelmobile came from a profound interest in Italian historical and industrial heritage and the desire to see it revived via a metamorphosis.
Industrial polycarbonate for the outer walls of the stand structure recall the skylights of the factories of old, made with the same material, burnished steel for the flooring, grey paint on all surfaces, in a warmer tone on the walls, compared to the ceiling - these striking choices draw their energy and vigour from their contrast with the elegance, quality and unique style of #pianca furniture.
