INNOVATION BREEDS QUALITY

Quality has probably been the most widely used word in the world in recent years. And inevitably, that use has given way to abuse; without proper critical reflection, even this most fundamental of concepts risks losing its meaning.
For people who – like us – consider it the very essence of entrepreneurial competition, innovation breeds quality: it is the result of systematic research and of the industrial- scale application of scientifically tested #design ideas. However, in the confusion of codes and languages, even the measure of quality risks becoming arbitrary – and it inevitably begs the question of exactly how we should measure it.

Let’s get one thing straight: the quality of a product – and especially of a #design – can’t be measured simply be counting up the number of square metres it covers. Of course, the multiplication of space is a fundamental quality of transformable furniture, but its value is defined not by this but by the way it achieves its end result.

Quality is measured by safety, longevity, reliability and compositional flexibility. These are the individual factors that give authentic value to the quality of a product, because they are the tangible results of research and technological innovation.

This is Clei’s choice. We work tirelessly to build relationships of collaboration and partnership with some of the leading Universities, workshops and research institutes in Italy and worldwide.
The objective of this commitment is to identify and measure the impact that social, cultural, economic and urban phenomena will have on our lifestyles, on the ways in which we’ll live in the houses of the future and on the consumer choices of all the people in the world.

It is an inexorable change happening right under the noses of all economic operators in our sector.
Clei’s response to this change is to study, to engage in research and to pursue creative, #design and technological innovation: this is the only way for us to keep one step ahead of an ever-changing world.

The end result is simple by concept, but difficult to achieve: it’s called multiplication. Not just of space itself, but of its value. Multiplication occurs via #interiordesign programs capable of transforming domestic spaces in a structural and integrated manner. These are collections that – thanks to their high technological content – are the culmination of applied research and creativity in the field of contemporary #design.

Bookcases, storage, sofas, tables and desks come together in integrated, shared spaces; daytime furniture becomes night-time furniture with simplicity and speed, with comfy beds in a range of different dimensions always within reach.
The Living System and Young System collections will be on show at Milan Furniture Fair 2016, with products from every area of the home in the spotlight. In the Living room, we find the TANGO system and the OSLO sofa, offset by TETRIS and GIRO’, while the KITCHEN BOX system is paired with PENELOPE DINING.

In the Young zone, the KALI 120 system is showcased in its BOARD and SOFA versions, while the fold-away WALLY table will also be on display.
