At the 2017 #salonedelmobile, #hormit continues the trend of collaborations with world renowned artists: Ugo Nespolo has designed Numbers, a fascinating cupboard rich with pathos and D'Urbino-Lomazzi, masters of global #design whose products are currently featured in major international museums, have created Flowers, an extendable round table without runners. Finally, two creations by the eclectic creative director Renato Zamberlan: the Tutù table and the Victor cupboard.
At the #salonedelmobile 2017, Horm Group is also presenting its new acquisition: the award-winning Italian brand Casamania.
The creative and production process launched in 1989, has led to Horm Group today offering a catalog that, for variety and versatility, has few equals on the international furniture scene.
NUMBERS

With his cupboard Numbers the Master Ugo Nespolo introduces one of his recognizable personal styles: numbers, which intersect each other in a modern and seemingly impossible pataphysical synthesis between Futurism and Pop Art.
Ugo Nespolo is a world-famous artist and one of the greatest Italian authorities on pataphysics. His forms of expression range from painting to sculpture, cinema to theatre, applied art to industrial #design and graphics, reinventing them with his ironic and irreverent vision of art. Means, shapes, colors and materials give into his constant research, leading him to collaborate with Baj, Man Ray, Fontana, Boetti, Warhol, Yoko Ono to name but a few.

VICTOR
#design: Renato Zamberlan, 2017
Tribute to the great Hungarian artist Victor Vasarely, founder of Op-Art, twenty years after his death. His ideas, based on the arrangement and serial reproduction of geometric shapes with different complementary colors, are reinterpreted here with transparencies and reflections. The use of a reflective surface transforms the image from passive to active, distorting the surrounding environment, which is reflected in the furniture doors. The viewer becomes part of a fun interactive game.

FLOWER
#design: D'Urbino-Lomazzi, 2017
An exciting collaboration with two Masters of world #design, born out of a challenge: to create an extendable round table that was beautiful both closed and open. The flat surfaces slide without the use of runners, thanks to a technical solution that is also aesthetic: a movable arm that is reminiscent of a Roman crane. The table extension comes out and opens like a blossoming flower, showing that aesthetics is the natural result of good #design, conceived out of a technical search for simplicity and functionality.

1) walnut with table top covered in Fenix black and Marquiña marble base;
2) open poor white ash lacquer finish with table top covered in Fenix white and Carrara marble base.

TUTÙ'

The name is inspired by the traditional costume of the ballet dancer: a slender and feather-light tutù in tulle fabric that emphasizes the elegant movements of the legs and body. The lightness of movement hides the incredible efforts that the dance involves. Thus is the table: fine lines interact with each other to deliberately distract from the technical content.
The language of the product is the contrast: the grammar is in the minimal and extreme architectural geometries of the glass table top, supported by steel rods and contrasted with the sinuous and voluptuous form of the legs, which are inspired by the late 800s. The words of this language are found in the pure materials like stainless steel, hard and cold, walnut, malleable and warm and glass with its transparency and fragility, like the tulle of a tutu.
The engineering details of the table allow for production to be customized to accommodate customer needs and for it to be made in various shapes and sizes.

CAPRIATA GLASS
#design: Carlo Cumini, 1997/2017
To mark the twentieth anniversary of this great commercial success, #hormit proposes a new version of the Capriata table. The original idea of Carlo Cumini, inspired by wooden roof trusses, remains unchanged but is enhanced and fully displayed, in its perfect proportions. This new version is no longer extendable but, the black walnut and tinted glass gives it an air of elegant and refined luxury.
