VIBIA FOR FOODIES A whistle-stop tour through the world’s restaurants featuring designer lamps


Fully savouring a culinary experience is not just about the food. It’s about the ambience where the dishes are served, the friendliness with which the food is served as well as the lighting that best shows off its textures and colours: everything adds to the experience of making eating pleasure.

A new generation of restaurants is very well aware of the importance of creating a pleasant atmosphere, and paying particular attention to the lighting that plays such a key role in defining the ambience. Whether it be Zurich, Stockholm or Barcelona the #vibia range of designer lamps are suspended or installed with the elegance that characterises them, discreet but functional when it comes to setting the tone where the gastronomic adventure is unfolded.

SCHILLER BRASSERIE

Vibia invites you to come with us on a whirlwind tour through some of the world’s most cozy restaurants; Breakfast or a late Brunch at the Schiller Brasserie in Zurich presided over by Slim (Jordi Vilardell) its elegant silhouette is the perfect condiment for their Goethe Club Sandwich, served with chips and free range eggs.

MASSERIA GUIDA

Lunch at the Masseria Guida, Ercolano at the foot of Vesuvius where the Buckwheat Gnocchi and fresh baby Cuttlefish roasted in its own ink is renowned, accompanied by the delicate beauty of Wireflow 3D (Arik Levy).

RISOTTO BOX

A detour to Vienna’s Risotto Box where the Nerotomato Risotto served with black beans and sun- dried tomatoes is washed down by Flamingo (Antoni Arola) floating serenely over head.

TORSGATAN

For lovers of Northern fare the Torsgatan 21 restaurant in Stockholm, where the Harissakryddad Cod and roasted tubers, watercress salad and hummus is complimented by the sculptural Match (Jordi Vilardell & Meritxell Vidal).

LA VERMUTERIE

Just time for some tapas, Marinated Olives in citrus, Russian salad and Cantabrian anchovy at Barcelona’s Vermuterie under the Wireflow Chandeliers (Arik Levy), creating a lighting frame for memorable encounters.

SESSIONS

At sunset, it’s got to be San Francisco’s Sessions and its house special, Market oysters with gueuze mignonette surrounded by its warm clapperboard cladding and jewel like Wireflow Freeform (Arik Levy) dropping from above, lighting intimate conversations and romantic encounters.

KENSHŌ

And when night falls, what better way to enjoy al-fresco dining than at the foot of the Psarou beach on the Greek island of Mykonos. Kenshō, the restaurant of the 5 star boutique hotel, serves kakavia, a typical fish soup made contemporary through the “sensations” cooking approach practised by its renowned chefs. The stars provide the romantic setting here while the minimal #design expression is provided by the Bamboo lamps (Antoni Arola and Enric Rodríguez). Enjoy!
