The Richard Ginori international tour continues with the 3rd edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai, where some of its most prestigious collections will be on display

For the first time in its history, #richardginori, the ultimate expression of Italian excellence in the high-quality artistic manufacture of porcelain, will present some of its most prestigious collections at #salonedelmobile.Milano Shanghai, the benchmark #event for the #design and furnishing sector in Asia, to take place from 22 to 24 November.

For #richardginori, participating in #salonedelmobile.Milano Shanghai is a way to come into direct contact with customers, journalists and professionals from China and the rest of Asia, and thus to promote its efforts to penetrate the Chinese market and develop its brand at the international level.

At the #event, this year in its third edition, the Manifattura will showcase a selection of the collections inspired by Gio Ponti, including “Catene” and “Labirinto”, as well as the “Oriente Italiano” and “Totem” collections, with new customisable items.

The concept of the stand designed by #richardginori is based on the “Wunderkammer” and is divided into two sections. In the first one, the artefacts from the collections are illustrated and displayed alongside sketches, plasters and other mysterious Manifattura items. A second space, bounded by mirrored walls reflecting the visitor’s gaze to infinity, includes a large semi-circular table and is dedicated to the “Oriente Italiano” collection. This is an independent installation that differs from the traditional #richardginori decorating format, featuring mirrored and conformal coated steel elements, inspired by Asian furnishing and retail trends, giving the Manifattura’s collections a contemporary feel.

The #salonedelmobile.Milano Shanghai, which made its debut in 2016 and is held at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, is a prestigious #event in the #design and furnishing industry and represents an important opportunity to showcase the best Italian products. The growing importance of the Chinese market for Italian companies operating in this sector is underscored by the fact that in 2017 exports by Italian #design and furniture companies to China increased by 42%1.

Richard Ginori already has a presence in China in the form of sales outlets in selected high-end, multibrand department stores and specialty stores, such as Tiamantti in Shanghai.

“China is a very interesting region whose economy is the driving force for development in all of Asia. This has led us to strengthen our presence in this country, by presenting some of our most prestigious collections at #salonedelmobile.Milano Shanghai. Our goal is to showcase the quality and creativity that #richardginori has to offer to the rapidly growing Chinese market,” stated Giovanni Giunchedi, Chairman and CEO of #richardginori.
