Bespoke Lightning – In, Out, In

Where there is light, there must be shadow, and where there is shadow, there must be light. There is no shadow without light and no light without shadow.”

(Haruki Murakami)

Shapes and colours bring order and harmony to the heterogeneity of inspirations, enabling each object to tell its own story, culminating in the creation of a dialogue through the generations and becoming an integral part of the very fabric of the homes and spaces in which it is a guest.

Oluce lamps boast an incisive, drawn, decorative design aesthetic.A subtle, intellectual beauty, which over the years has led the company to create some of the world’s best-known and most popular lighting icons. The desire to put the company’s lighting expertise at the disposal of architects and designers has culminated in the Bespoke Tailoring service:lamps designed especially for specific projects or modular versions of pre-existing designs available in the catalogue make up the vast and varied tailor made range which the company offers to meet the needs of large- and small-scale customer demand in the best possible way.

The new collection presented at Euroluce draws on this design culture, know-how and a style that has helped the company stand out in the world of lighting for over 70 years. This year, the installation, designed by the architect Ferruccio Laviani, moves to a larger space in Hall 9 stand B11 - B15, presenting the world of Oluce through a series of fluid environments, where indoor and outdoor alternate seamlessly.

The products presented are the expression of a well-defined aesthetic and a new way of interpreting spaces.In-out-in products, re-editions created by the most on-trend #design masters, never-before-seen projects - destined to become the company’s new icons - and products designed by students and young #design promises, as part of a talent scouting operation in its second edition.

Oluce presents a preview of Ilo, a pendant lamp created by Madrid-based designer David Lopez Quincoces. The architectural references and clean shapes that make up Ilo act as a perfect balance to its subtle decorative soul and its fine quality finishes, creating an object with a multifaceted beauty, able to fit in with the most varied worlds and styles. The lamp consists of an aluminium bar expertly worked with precision mechanics, chromatically divided into two parts. The first is configured as a sort of handle, while the second contains the long LED light source.
