Foscarini opens a new headquarters in Milan on Corso Monforte


Milan #design Week 2019is the official moment forFoscarinitopresentits new Milanese headquarters, for which oneofthe moststrategicpoints on the city’sdesignmap has been selected: Corso Monforte,known in professional circles as“lightingstreet”thanks to the array of outstanding brands in the field of lighting #design.

“This choice comes from the desire to get even closer to end consumers and the community of designers and specifiers”,saysCarlo Urbinati, presidentofFoscarini, “making our know-how in production, #design and innovation available to all of them”.

With this objective, a large space has been created in the heart of this lighting district, with a layout on multiple levels, ideal to narrate theFoscariniuniverse from its multiple viewpoints. Theshowroomwill not just be a place of display and sale of the collections, but also a facility for encounters withclients andprofessionals, who can rely on a team ofexperts ready to respond to the multiple, complex needs of the market.Interaction, experience, discovery:these are the key terms that have guided the formulation ofFoscarini Spazio Monforte. 

“The architecture of thespace”, saysFerruccio Laviani,creator of the project,“has beenreorganised and defined in terms ofsimplicity,making the volumes as ample andversatile as possible, while thematerials – kept with their natural finish –leave the products free to express themselves, and to be understood.On the ground level”, he continues,“the display space has been designed for use as a zone of sale and reception, but also as a setting for artistic installations and product presentations”.

Together with the company’s iconic pieces,Spazio Monfortewill feature the new items presented at the Fair.Among thedesigners who have worked forEuroluce 2019, there are names already familiar to the company, includingMarc Sadler, Andrea Anastasio,Ferruccio Laviani, Roberto Palomba, but also newcollaborations with talents likeIlaria MarelliandTord Boontje.
