Salone Internazionale del Mobile. Milano New textures for the 2019 collection by SLIDE
Already famous for the production of luminous furniture, #slide presents important innovations in 2019, the result of several-year research. A small revolution that broadens the boundaries of design and structures a collection that meets the widest requirements of living and contract. SLIDE creates refined products and multiple textures inspired by the materials that Nature gives us and that man's genius processes: marble, a sheet of ancient Japanese paper, a weave of leather or granite.
The setting of the stand at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan reminds of a rooftop lounge, thanks to the new decorative textures and materials that can recreate a comfortable and elegant setting. They are versatile furnishings, both for indoor and outdoor spaces, ideal for terraces, gardens, and even living areas. Indeed, the indoor space is often divided from the outdoor one only by a glass window.
The pieces of the new the collection, also present in #slide showroom in the heart of Milan, exploit the creative potential of research and technology developed by the company and make each piece unique, since the industrial process is accompanied by a craft work. This research has also intensified SLIDE's attention to the environment, thanks to the creation of a new color made from recycled material, Saddle Leather, which is added to the classic #slide products colours such as the Elephant, Argil and Dove Gray, Jet Black, Chocolate Brown and Malva Green.
Saddle Leather colour further accentuates the tactile #texture of the woven leather of MARA collection by #lorenzabozzoli. Composed by sofa, armchair and pouf, it is completed by cushions, whose softness allows a great sitting comfort, and whose fabrics are suitable for outdoor use as
they are waterproof.
Paola Navone is the creative mind for #Ottocento dining collection, dining tables available with different marble effects and dimensions, both for the top and for the base. Roberto Paoli contributes to the innovations by introducing #giotto hanging lamp - a lighting ring - and CORDIALE, a new family of bar counters and luminous furniture with a vintage character and an Art Déco effect.
Fabio Novembre collaborated for the first time with #slide and realized #spin, a modular hanging lamp whose #design comes from the twist of a parallelepiped element. The new #slide products are characterized by visual effects that add richness and materiality to them. The challenge of #slide has just begun: the final goal is to think about the future in the key of a contemporary and sustainable luxury. The industrial imperfection on the typical material of craftsmanship meet the constantly evolving ideas and the search for unforgettable novelties.
MARA
Design Lorenza Bozzoli
The interweaving of the leather comes to life in all the #texture of the #mara collection structure, consisting of a sofa, an armchair and a pouf. Lorenza Bozzoli’s years in the fashion sector lead to reproduce also on the plastic material the imperfect and tactile intertwining typical of the leather hand manufacturing. The unique #texture is combined with the cushions in waterproof fabric and suitable for outdoor use. The comfortable seat makes the #mara collection ideal for rooftop, garden and interior contract projects.
OTTOCENTO
Design Paola Navone
Inspired by the shapes of Neoclassicism, #ottocento is an indoor and outdoor table available in different dimensions. The purity of the material is linked to the classic nature of shapes, which remind of the luxury of marble and the elegance of dark colours. Thanks to a collaboration between the designer and our production department, every table is a unique peace.
GIOTTO
Design Roberto Paoli
The perfect circle exists and #robertopaoli made it in polyethylene. #giotto is a luminous hanging ring with LED lighting. A lamp with an essential geometry that can be used individually or in countless compositions. The combination of several #giotto hanging lamps can light up large areas with a strong personality: the product is perfect to realize contract projects.
SPIN
Design Fabio Novembre
Sometimes a #spin is needed to make a pure shape vibrate (Fabio Novembre). #spin hanging lamp comes from the twis of a square-based parallelepiped element. The modularity allows to obtain long and sinuous elements that can vary, in terms of composition, based on the aggregation method.
