Vispring at the Salone del Mobile 2019

Luxury British bed brand, #Vispring is excited to present new pieces at the #salonedelmobile – 9-14 April 2019. #Vispring will showcase Elizabeth, its most contemporary limited-edition bed to date; Topaz II, a new adjustable bed, alongside a new collection of pillows and duvets as well as demonstrating its bespoke service in which customers can choose to use their own fabric on any #Vispring divan and headboard. Further, a sculptural installation by artist, Giles Miller will showcase the craft of the springs that go into all #Vispring beds.

Elizabeth, Vispring’s new limited-edition bed, blends traditional #Vispring craftsmanship with a soft contemporary aesthetic, accented by its polished steel legs and exclusive head board #design. The mattress is hand-crafted with a delicate blend of luxurious all-natural fillings including wool-blended horsehair, silk and cashmere, with layers of British Fleece wool and cotton. The divan is made from a Scandinavian timber frame. As with all #Vispring beds, the Elizabeth is made to order and entirely made by hand.

The new Topaz II bed features sophisticated wireless recline and angle adjustability. At the touch of a button, Topaz II adapts effortlessly to your body, delivering comfort and support whenever you need it, for reading, for relaxing and for resting. It can be paired with a selection of #Vispring mattresses and luxury upholstery fabrics.

Vispring has created a new collection premium pillows and duvets to complement its range of beds, which will debut at the stand. Made from the highest quality Hungarian Goose feather and down, Pyrenean Duck feather and down and European Duck feather and down, the pieces are eco-friendly and carefully sanitized to guard against allergies.

Vispring will additionally highlight its bespoke #design service by which customers can choose to have their own fabric used to cover any #Vispring headboard or divan. To demonstrate the service #Vispring has created a special bed covered in iconic fabric from Missoni HOME.

Finally, #Vispring will unveil bespoke work by artist, Giles Miller for the #salonedelmobile. Miller has designed a sculptural hanging art piece made from the springs which go into every #Vispring mattress. The artist has played with density and composition to create layers of coiled metal, coated in a high- end plated finish, which will be suspended from the ceiling in a circular composition in a visually arresting display.

Miller says, ‘The spring is a fascinating piece of engineering and upon learning that #Vispring have used the same #design for their springs for well over a century we were delighted to be asked to celebrate this miniature piece of sculptural engineering in an installation.’
