The Playful Living & Style Piccoli, fashion and design meet at Pitti Bimbo in a domestic and welcoming space

News at Pitti Bimbo. Large spaces where furniture, accessories, and toys enter establish a dialogue with fashion items, creating an unusual and stimulating environment. This is the proposal of the project The Playful Living & Style Piccoli a first-timer at Pitti Bimbo, occupying two areas of Fortezza da Basso with ideas and suggestions for the world of children.

On the Top Floor, an installation reconstructs portions of domestic spaces. The living room, kitchen, dining area and children's bedrooms welcome different products in a welcoming and informal context.

In the Cavedio, on the Lower Floor of the Central Pavilion, there is The Playful Living & Style Piccoli Corner, a relax area open to all visitors, where you can snuggle on comfortable seats, admire accessories and #design structures in wood and cardboard, attend talks and meetings.

These spaces have been designed according to a specific philosophy: to bring play and positivity to every aspect of everyday life, including the shopping experience.

Here, where the products are displayed in a credible and domestic context, it is possible to naturally welcome adults and children, offering quality time and transforming the moment of purchase into an opportunity for creativity, shared play, reading, socialization and fun.

Two important realities guarantee the value of the proposal and select the brands part of the initiative. #theplayfulliving, a research project on the quality of life in domestic and public spaces and Style Piccoli, the bimonthly magazine of Rcs dedicated to the best proposals and the trends in kids world, with a constant watchful eye on the world of fashion and #design.

Family-friendly shopping experience. This installation combines the requirements of the retail spaces of the future in the kids world. Places able to offer a pleasant and very personal experience, but also to influence the sales performance and improve the relationship between retailerer and customer.

Supporting the development of this model is Cilab - the Research Laboratory of the Politecnico di Milano, partner of the project. Sector studies (carried out in collaboration with the Kids & Toys Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano) have highlighted how buyers of products dedicated to kids seek personalized services and ad hoc content. There is a need to take the moment of purchase to a new level: retailtainment - a retail experience which incorporates entertainment and fun. A strategy that can make the difference in physical stores, which are increasingly challenged by online shopping channels.

A series of meetings named "The Playful Tips" will make this space a must for buyers and retailers. Round tables, workshops and debates will bring together specialists from the kids world, companies, professionals, educators and sociologists to share reflections, ideas and strategies on how to revolutionize the way of living and communicating products for families and kids.
