Dialectics of spaces: the sheer distinctiveness of Lea Ceramiche pervades all surfaces

New surfaces for architecture and interiors, interpreted with Lea Ceramiche’s signature style, will be on show at Cersaie 2019, the most important trade fair in the ceramic industry.

Also this year, Lea Ceramiche, which is always searching for new languages and applications, confirms its natural ability to experiment with different codes and styles to enable ceramic material, architecture and interiors to engage in dialogue. In Bologna, the company’s stand, designed by long-time collaborator Diego Grandi, will become a narrative space, a journey into the materiality and spatiality of architecture in which ceramic surface, transcending the boundaries between inside and outside, will offer new interpretations of the material’s use. Collections that evoke marble, stone or concrete, reinterpreted with a modern look and designed according to recognizable style codes typical of the brand’s distinctive identity will be the stars of the space.

Two particularly important additions complete and accompany the brand’s collections to infinitely reintroduce its application possibilities: #slimtechnextone and #delight, which integrate stone and marble-effect collections with different thicknesses.

Slimtech Nextone is the new thin (6 mm) laminated stoneware version in the Nextone collection, which reproduces an engineered stone effect. The combination of 4 types of stone from different quarries, whose characteristics have been combined together, has resulted in the definition of original patterns that recreate a kind of stone that does not exist in nature, but that has a natural and very balanced aesthetic effect. Slimtech technology enables the creation of impressive slabs, up to 120x260cm, for projects which require the space to be seamlessly covered with large formats.

Reinterpreting marble, a natural and ancient material, #delight – previously available in the Slimtech-version slim maxi format – is presented in tactile surfaces with a traditional thickness and a distinctly contemporary look in line with the latest trends. Four types of marble, from the intense Marquina Nero and Calacatta Oro, to the more sophisticated Venato Bianco and Invisible Light, in a thickness of 10 and 11mm and a large variety of formats (90x90; 60x120; 60x60; 30x60cm), available in two finishes: glossy and matt. The collection is completed by refined and geometric decorations embellished with metal elements or surface treatments that make it possible to create different and composite stylistic expressions.

Nextone and #delight, complete, structured, organic collections, as well as the Concreto & Zoom collection designed by Fabio Novembre, which will also be on display at the Bologna fair, become a basis for creating integrated projects in which the ceramic surface is a versatile flexible tool for meeting any architectural requirement. The exhibition space will offer an insight into its potential and ability to transform any environment and make it unique, satisfying the performance demands of professional and customers.
