ADI Design Index 2019

The Permanent Observatory of ADI #design, Association for Industrial #design, has selected #antoniolupi in two categories for publication in the #adidesignindex 2019.
The winners are the Intreccio washbasin designed by Paolo Ulian in the products' section and the Exhibition Layout in the 'graphics' section.

In 2017 the INTROVERSO was selected, designed by Paolo Ulian. The block of marble that loses its monolithic appearance and turns into something of ethereal, enclosing the secret soul.
In 2018 it was the MAYDAY tap, designed by GI-RA a project that plays on the meaning, by turning an emergency button into a command from a every day use , as the name also emphasizes: Mayday.

Awards 2019:

Intreccio - #design Paolo Ulian

Intreccio is an ultra-light marble washbasin weighing 55 kg. Carved from a block of only 11 cm in length, in which the cuts have been optimized to obtain concentric rings, creating a three-dimensional volume. Thanks to technology it was possible to create a marble washbasin reducing the waste of material.

Exhibition Layout - Architects Calvi Brambilla

In 2018 #antoniolupi has renewed and completely changed its Layout. The project of the stand at the International Salone del Mobile of Milan and of the Milan flagshipstore were entrusted to the Calvi Brambilla #design studio. Starting from the concept that #antoniolupi products look at human perspective, Calvi Brambilla's intervention focused on the upper part of the space. The new ceiling, consisting of intentionally irregular architectural vaults and 'hung' at the bottom dark, gives depth to the whole show-room. A gesture of freedom compared to certain spatial symmetries.

The prestigious volume, edited annually by the Italian Association for the Industrial Drawing is considered the most authoritative publication among the International #design View.
With the selection in the #adidesignindex 2019, #antoniolupi has been able to candidate again for the next Compasso d'Oro.

ADI President Luciano Galimberti underlines the increasingly important presence of the bathroom furniture sector within the ADI selections of recent years. Innovation of lifestyles and materials, projects and technologies have given a strong impetus to the #design in the world of production for bathroom furniture.

"I am very proud - says #andrealupi, CEO #antoniolupi - to have received these two awards. The inclusion in the #adidesignindex is the most prestigious award of the production and #design quality of Italian #design; a further confirmation of the important work that #antoniolupi is doing in recent years”.
