Care - noun - (PROTECTION): A diligent and thoughtful interest in an object, which commits both our soul and our activities: to devote every care to the family, to the education of our children, to their interests, to take care of someone.
Care. It is a simple but vital word to inspire the collections that will be presented this year at the “Salone del Mobile” in Milan by #marioni.
Taking care and respect of ourselves and of things for our daily well-being is the #design attitude that leaded Arch. Piero Angelo Orecchioni in thinking about the product lines and therefore acting as a subtle guiding thread in binding the new proposals.
PLATTER
The Platter collection with its line of furniture and sofas maintains, as is the attitude of the Notorious collection, references to the early twentieth century, mentioning Art Déco and Brutalist architecture which merge here in the forms and in the various choice of materials with more contemporary elements, belonging to our era.
The characterization of the furniture is given by a plane raised above the floor, as if to protect and highlight, acting as a horizon line on which the different scenes take place, in the desire to follow each one its own storytelling.
As if leant on a tray on which the various elements placed, varying from time to time in the composition, modular sofas take shape together with sideboards and cabinets of various sizes and heights. Modularity and customization remain as a distinctive stylistic sign featuring the different collections.
Modular system of upholstered items with internal wooden frame and seats, backs and armrests in differentiated density polyurethane. Linear shelf in black lacquered wood suspended on brushed brass elements. A particular feature of the corner sofa is the integrated table that contains a lamp with an opal glass diffuser inside a hand-decorated ceramic bowl.
SUNSET
The Sunset bookcase takes inspiration from the Sunset lighting collection, steals its graphic sign, which, by doubling and repeating itself, becomes a precious and light cage made of brass and ceramic elements, leaning on a solid base, as if to protect objects, books, memories. It is a center-room bookcase separating but not dividing enhancing the various rooms’ dialogue, connecting them, offering two different faces and colors.
Sunset (Library): Brushed brass structure with glazed ceramic elements. Base in black painted wood.
PINS
The Pins family grows with the inclusion of alternative variants and decorations. Each element is characterized by a strong personality capable of having its own independent life aside from the harmony created by their combinations. The objects change, descend, grow and turn into something else and so the tables designed as a useful support for a seat or bed become even more functional, precious lamps and coat hangers sculpture recalling archetypal forms.
