Windy Summer 2020

Sun, salt and wind. And colors shimmering against the background of a turquoise sea. It foams, it glitters, or it barely makes a ripple. Laughter and chatter lift in the air. Carried away by the wind. Wind that plays with tables and beds set up outdoors, immersed in the Italian summer. A summer that smells of tossed salads and focaccia, of fish on the grill. A summer that wakes up at dawn suspended in pink, between lazy sheets, and kicks off the day at the breakfast table with an intriguing “see you later at the dock!”, with dives when the red flag is flying, and the lifeguard stands alert. A summer that gets hotter and hotter, gradually wiping everyone out, only to spring back for happy hour. Then it gets quieter at dusk, the wind still unrelenting.
