SEELA: one, no one, and one hundred thousand
AN UNPRECEDENTED COMBINATION OF TWO MATERIALS HAS LED TO A MINIMALIST FULL-COLOUR FABRIC SEAT, ON CASTORS OR A FIXED BASE, CHAIR OR STOOL, FOR INDOOR AND OUTDOOR USE.
“I can believe everything that you tell me. I do believe it. I am offering you a chair. Sit down and let us see if we cannot agree upon this”. Thus, wrote Pirandello in his famous novel entitled One, No one, and One Hundred Thousand. And if the chair in question had been SEELA, all needs would certainly have been met.
SEELA comes on castors for a contemporary open office, upholstered for an elegant dining room, colourful for a bright and attractive restaurant, easily stackable for instant storage, and ideal also for outdoor spaces: the chair, designed by Annti Kotilainen for Lapalma, features an additional advantage and a detail that confirms its ultimate originality.
Man and nature come together, one observes while the other suggests shapes and materials. SEELA perfectly expresses what has been learned from Finnish #design with an entirely new combination of two materials: polypropylene for the shell and wood for the insert of this chair with a rounded shape.
Such an unusual combination is made harmonious by Lapalma’s craftsmanship: resting on very light bases, the sinuous seamless shell creates a chair that highlights its warm material appeal.
The insert acts as a base to create a padded seat for upholstering in fabric. The entire chair can also be upholstered and, if desired, the insert can stand out in a different material. Its extreme versatility offers not only a product that closely meets your needs but also the option of changing some details over the years, maximising its life cycle and durability.
Available with different bases and accessories - such as a writing arm and armrests - and in the brand-new colours presented by the company at IMM Cologne, SEELA is an extremely versatile chair. This chair is ideal for conference rooms, restaurants, workspaces or everyday life in the home: one, no one, and one hundred thousand.
