Knoll presents the Work from Home collection for 2021

In a time when the boundaries between home and office are increasingly blurred, having a suitable space for home working has become more important than ever before. Sweeping changes in our lifestyles have contributed to the need to have spaces with comfortable, functional furnishings, to make the home office area relaxing and stimulating, but also in line with the décor and philosophy of domestic settings.

The Work from Home collection by #knoll for 2021 responds to these needs, through innovative products and contemporary #design, keeping faith with an avant-garde modernist vision while adapting to new habitat requirements.

Alongside the icons of the past and timeless classics that have always set the identity of the brand, the Work from Home collection is composed of ergonomic desks and seating, formulated to guarantee unique comfort and to foster physical and mental wellbeing. The functional parts make it possible to create an orderly but also dynamic environment, organized to improve the quality of work.

The range of home office products reflects the classic #knoll style, preserving its cultural legacy in time: the pieces designed by #florenceknoll, Mies van der Rohe, #eerosaarinen and #harrybertoia, just to name a few, interact in perfect harmony with the latest creations, while generating processes of change and innovation.

Innovative materials, unprecedented functional solutions and expansion of the range of offerings are key factors in the new approach to the work environment in the home. The KN Collection, a family of chairs based on the long-term collaboration between #knoll and Piero Lissoni, has now added two new interpretations: KN06, the armchair with a modernist spirit first presented in 2020 in the version with four fixed legs in cast aluminium, is now available in a height-adjustable swivel model with a four-star base on glides, or a five-star base on casters; and KN07, a chair with a fluid, linear form, in the version with four legs or a height adjustable swivel model with four-star base on glides or five-star with casters. Formulated with different variations and finishes, KN06 and KN07 perfectly embody the values associated with the brand: comfort, balance, elegance and functional quality. Along with the seating collections, #knoll offers novel solutions in the Grasshopper family of 
tables, ideal for traditional offices and work areas in the home. The two different versions are both perfect for an ergonomic approach to work: the Grasshopper Height-Adjustable Desk, and the Grasshopper Console, available in three different fixed heights.

Rounding out the range of new offerings, #knoll has updated the swivel base of an icon of the past in a new, contemporary interpretation: the Saarinen Conference Chair Relax, first designed by Eero Saarinen in 1957. Thanks to its versatile spirit, this sculptural seat adapts to any type of setting and any lifestyle.

The new products are joined by a complete assortment of fabrics and leathers providing countless options for personalization, while ensuring maximum comfort and impeccable looks.

KN Collection by Knoll

The elegant, sophisticated touch of Piero Lissoni triggers an aesthetic of lightness that sets the mood of all his collections. The KN Collection, a family of seating created by the Milanese architect in 2018, has been expanded with the evolution of the KN06 armchair, presented together with the new KN07 version without armrests.

Thanks to a particular molding technology, the KN06 conveys a sense of perfect balance between tradition and modernity. The shell is the result of a sophisticated production process, and rests delicately on four fixed legs, or on a height-adjustable swivel base, in models with four-star on glides or five-star on casters. KN06 stands out for the homogeneity of the shell in fiberglass, coated in glossy white or glossy black, or covered in fabric or leather. The slim, enveloping structure welcomes a soft seat cushion that makes the collection more complete and well-balanced in terms of function and image.

The KN07 is a chair without armrests that epitomizes perfect harmony between the seat and structure, in totally smooth lines. The supple #design fuses the inner and outer surfaces in a single, soft, fluid gesture. Covered in fabric or leather, KN07 is ideal to complete corners in the home set aside as work studios. Also in this new version, the shell of the seat rests on four fixed legs, or on a height-adjustable swivel base, with four-star on glides or five-star on casters.

KN06 and KN07 feature a seat and back in flexible molded polyurethane, covered in fabric 
or leather. All the models with swivel bases are equipped with a lever below the seat for height adjustment, providing precise regulation to respond to personal preferences. Due to their aesthetic impact based on the perfect combination of industrial and technological quality, KN06 and KN07 constitute a solution that will last in time, capable of adapting to various contexts and uses. The collection offers a varied selection of materials and finishes to underscore its modernist spirit.

Knoll presents the evolution of a collection of tables designed by Piero Lissoni in 2017, a perfect blend of pure geometry and #design synthesis. The intrinsic elegance of the Grasshopper #table comes from the particular combination between the surface of the top, in soft, organic forms, and the high-performance steel structure. The versatility of these tables is not just a matter of good looks, various sizes and heights, but also of variety in the finishes available for the tops.

The new Grasshopper solutions have been designed to respond to all the needs connected with different work settings – the home studio, spaces organized for co-working, and offices. The Grasshopper Height-Adjustable Desk is a very intuitive working tool, easy to regulate and to use.
The top, with rounded sides or in a rectangular version, is height-adjustable thanks to a digital display, facilitating the passage between sitting and standing positions. This function permits frequent posture adjustments, finding the right balance and ensuring a correct, effective working position. The base has a coated finish in white or black.

Grasshopper also comes in the new Console version, offered in three different fixed heights – 72, 105 and 120 cm – with a characteristic base coated in black. In any position, seated or standing, the desk encourages perfect posture to provide maximum comfort.

The #design of the new tables guarantees support for ergonomic tools such as the Sapper Monitor Arm designed by Richard Sapper, an ideal solution for easy movement of the screen with every shift of the working position.
