GANDIABLASCO AT VILLA R - Expression of continuity between interior and exterior space

The Mediterranean character of GANDIABLASCO softly blends with the Atlantic breeze, in the same way that the interior and exterior spaces blur their boundaries to flow into every corner of Villa R, located in Rabat.

This 900 square meter residential project, conceived by Gregoire Maisondieu in northern Morocco, has three levels and is inhabited by a couple and their two children. Everything in this home was designed for living in connection with the outdoors, as the maritime climate of the coastal capital in which it is located makes it possible to enjoy its mild temperatures all year round. The areas created with elements from the iconic DNA and FLAT collections complement the concepts of continuity and fluidity that are perceived throughout the space.

The Mediterranean meets the Atlantic thanks to the grey, textured Tetuan stone that adorns the walls of the ground floor. Evoking the same color and warm touch, the upholstery of the chill beds, sofas and modular furniture by #gandiablasco invites you to sit back and relax amidst the green, wood, water and minerals.

In front of the swimming pool, which extends under the covered terrace until it almost enters the living room, there are spacious chill beds from the DNA series, designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales and made from white thermo-lacquered aluminium profiles. On the structure, whose slats create the light and shadows of the horizontal geometries present in the works of some Japanese architects or in Mediterranean blinds, rest cushions and slim mattresses filled with polyurethane foam rubber covered with a special water-repellent fabric. These outdoor daybeds can be easily moved to reconfigure islands of well-being as comfortable and cozy as if they were an indoor room.
