Piaval: the new entries of the Trench, the Macaron and the Herringbone collections at Milan Furniture Fair

Supersalone 2021
Pav 03 – Stand J18

At this special edition of Milan Furniture Fair, #piaval brings its new models of chairs and tables, which enrich and complete the successful Trench and Macaron collections, designed by Laura Silvestrini, and the Herringbone collection, designed by Studio Garcia Cumini. The novelties perfectly meet the needs of the contract and naval sector, due to their flexibility and possibility of customization.

The new entry of the Trench collection is an extremely enveloping chair, that joins the refined armchair, the generous lounge, the comfortable sofa and the barstool. The new model, features the distinctive #design of the tapered element in curved wood, that surrounds the backrest and mark what in terms of tailoring is the ‘waistline’. The upholstery is draped in slight casual chic ripples, evoking the folds that the fabric of the timeless outerwear creates. The chair too, as the other models, is extremely cozy. Elegant, versatile, sturdy, Trench can be customized in a wide range of finishes and the choice of upholstery ranges from fabric to soft leather, to suit the projects and hospitality spaces in which it will be inserted. The structure is in solid ash wood.

The refined Macaron collection, which has been awarded Best Furniture at the Cruise Ship Interiors Awards 2020, is significantly extended too. Chair, stool, pouf and table come with the armchair, the lounge and the two-seater sofa. A collection characterized by dual aesthetics, contemporary and sophisticated. A two-volumes project: the first is the shell, supported at the base by a curved wooden profile that traces a sign that ends in the front legs; the second is composed of the perfectly round seat, on which rests a double cushion, in the center of which the rear legs are inserted. The precise overlapping of these two soft layers recalls the image of the French pastry that gives the name to the chair. The structure is available in beech wood or American walnut wood, and can be customized in a wide range of finishes and the choice of upholstery ranges from fabric to leather. The great attention to every detail reaffirms the precision and high quality of #piaval woodworking.

Finally, in Milan, the complete Herringbone collection, designed by Studio Garcia Cumini, is presented, and in particular the brand-new barstools. The essence of the collection is an enveloping shell in curved plywood, composed of two distinct parts, perfectly mirroring each other. The surface of the seat becomes a decorative element, that catches the eye thanks to a graphic sign recurring in the world of decorative arts: the Herringbone. The elegant shell, available in three essences, is characterized by clean lines and an enveloping shape and can be combined with 10 different bases, offering a range of 100 seating options that fit easily and casually many contract spaces, from the office to the waiting area or the wine bar. The proposal ranges from the solid wooden legs, in beech, ash, walnut essences, to those in chromed or black painted metal to which can be combined the stackable version, the sled base and the trestle swivel chair with three or four legs.
