Applications for MM Award – International creative award are now open, a project curated by MM Company to promote the best creatives in the fields of fashion, product & interior design.


MM Award, its International creative award. The aim of the initiative, born in 2017 and then becoming an annual appointment, is to create and support a community of creative talents and companies/studios/collectives, from all over the world and operating in the fields of #fashion, product & #interiordesign, recognizing their merit and encouraging their connection with industry’s insiders, media and companies.

The winning projects must stand out for research and innovation in materials, production processes and aesthetic research. Creativity must be the common thread of the whole project. Attention to detail represents an essential element that must emerge in construction details, manufacturing, assembly techniques and special finishes. 

Contestants, thematic categories

MM Award is open to 3 contestant categories: Students (between 20 and 30 years old), Professionals (and freelancers, employees or creatives between 20 and 40 years old) and Companies/studios/collectives (and projects submitted as a group) founded no more than 10 years ago, with no age limit for the team members. The contestants can submit one or more creative projects in the 3 thematic categories: fashion, product & interior design. The following types of projects are accepted: concept projects, thesis projects or submitted as a school/university exam, self-produced projects and projects commissioned by a client that have entered into production and have been manufactured. Realistic sketches and/or renderings and/or still life photos and/or model/in context photos and/or line sheets and/or technical drawings and/or working drawings and/or 3D are allowed for project presentation. 

Special mentions

In addition to the 3 thematic categories, the MM Award - International creative award reserves 2 special mentions: "Made in Italy is" and "Best Innovator is". The first, "Made in Italy is", is dedicated to the type of contestant "Companies/studios/collectives" to enhance the project that will best represent the Made in Italy. The second, "Best Innovator is", dedicated to all contestants, to award the project that will best stand out for innovation. 

Jury

One of the main values of MM Award is the Jury of experts, prestigious professionals involved in the world of creativity (fashion, furniture, #interiordesign and other creative arts), who will evaluate the most deserving projects. Participating in the MM Award - International creative award thus becomes a unique opportunity for contestants to make their talent known and get in touch with them. In the 2021 edition, the jurors were: Federica Biasi, Serena Confalonieri, Luca Larenza, Mariana Martini, Adriano Meneghetti, Monomio, Silvia Stella Osella, Studio Didea and Leonardo Talarico. The names of the jurors for the 2022 edition will be revealed over the coming months.
