Marble vases as water drops

Sinuous, sensuous, liquid vases made of Statuario Venato marble thought out to be displayed in a sequence to evoke the metamorphosis of a drop of water in its free fall.

Designed by Corinna Natalia Balloni and Carlo Alberto Gasparini for SAGEVAN®MARMI, Marble Drops is a collection of vases born from thoughts and studies on the theme of water, and the processes revolving around its change of state. With Marble Drops we witness the paradox of marble becoming liquid, expanding and shape-shifting under the pressure of gravity.

The collection is made of four pieces, four vases to tell us of four different phases in the nature of water.

The harmony of mutating shapes marries the diaphanous purity of Satuario Venato marble, in an elegant merging of primordial elements.

It is in the toghetherness of its four pieces that the collection finds its aesthetic and conceptual fulfilment.
