Aliantedizioni seizes two wins in the 2021 NY Product Design Awards!
The 2021 NY Product #design Awards drew to a close and its official list of winners has been released. After taking in over 500 entries submitted from all over the world in its inaugural year, the competition intends to honor these talented product designers whose works improve one’s daily life.
In spite of the fierce competition, Aliantedizioni landed a victory in the Fashion & Lifestyle category with the Alicudi sarong and the Filicudi tie designed by Alessandro Loschiavo in partnership with Luca Fantuzi. Held by the International Awards Associate (IAA) and created to promote designers and their works which are poised to make the world a better place, the competition intends to spotlight the importance of product #design as the world’s approach to consumption of products continue to evolve.
Alicudi is a veil that plays with the wind and with the wearer’s every movement. It's a two-tone sarong in semi-transparent chiffon of natural silk and is available in two sizes: quadro and maxi. Its simplicity allows to choose how to distribute the colors over the body, changing self-perception as desired. Thanks to its opening down the middle, it can be worn bust-length (quadro) or full-figure (maxi). It is so light you can even use it as a scarf. https://productdesignawards.us/winner-info.php?id=283
Filicudi is a strip of intense color, bringing the face to the center of attention. A bi-color ribbon of natural silk, to be worn as a flowy tie or simply wrapped around the neck with a free gesture. It's a de-structured tie in crepe de Chine silk and the colors are combined so that when you place your order you can choose whether to keep the darker hue on the inside or the outside of the crease. https://productdesignawards.us/winner-info.php?id=285
