Oluce presents the new “G.O.” lamp

Oluce introduces its new 2022 products, with the revival edition of a historic collection.

Designer objects that transform living spaces, lamps conceived as decorative elements that are captivating when they’re on and dazzling when they’re off. Oluce’s products have the extraordinary ability to transform the environments in which they’re placed and to create dialogue through styles and generations.

Announcing its participation in Milan’s Fuorisalone, #oluce will be presenting an extremely evocative display, in an unusual location in the city.

The creator of the exhibition, Ferruccio Laviani, will create an almost kaleidoscopic environment, where visitors will be able to discover Oluce’s new products in a three-dimensional play of perspective illusions. Like in a museum, the product will be showcased as the only and true protagonist.

It will be possible to get to know the new 2022 products as well as some of the company’s historic icons in Oluce’s exhibition space, located between Via Borgonuovo and Via Monte di Pietà.

Completing the display is a meeting area in which visitors can learn more about Oluce’s Bespoke Tailoring, an extremely flexible product customisation service created in order to meet the demands of the contract sector.

In anticipation of the collection, a project that narrates how, over time, Oluce has been able to build a series of lamps in which every object tells its story, in which beauty originates from a vivid #design aesthetic as well as from the quality of the materials. The expression of a well-defined, designed, and decorative aesthetic.

The G.O. lamp is the revival edition of a model designed for #oluce by Giuseppe Ostuni in the 1960s. An object that fully embodies the characteristics of #design from that period, when designers sought innovative solutions connected to the functionality and simplicity of shapes, when the availability of new materials made it possible to conceive objects that had previously been impossible and the industrial vision of #design began to mass-produce objects.

A lamp that, in the essence of its #design, is extremely current, characterised by a vertical shaft from which a horizontal arm branches off and on which the lampshade is mounted. The arm, thanks to the system of joints, is therefore a sliding element that can be repositioned and oriented depending on specific needs.

A family which maintains the style of the original #design, like the use of the cylindrical lampshade and the contrast between the materials with which the various elements are made. The revival edition is enhanced by precious details in satin gold, which stand out in contrast with the black nickel - of the arm - and the colours of the base and the lampshade, these last two available in three different colours: black, scarlet, and anodic bronze.

The use of colour gives energy and a fresh modern look to the original #design which was intended for a single tabletop version, conceived for both domestic spaces and for the world of contract furnishing. This revival edition, however, enhances the project with a new reading lamp, this too characterised by the option of repositioning and orienting the beam of light.

A decorative object with a clean and linear design, G.O. is striking in its modern relevance, thus confirming Oluce’s propensity for creating objects that are capable of transcending fashion and eras.

Alongside this important revival edition, a new family of lamps designed by Victor Vasilev, now in his second collaboration with the company after the success of the Superluna family, will also be presented. The project will make use of unusual materials that will enrich Oluce’s range of products with new details and with the intention of being able to satisfy the most disparate #design needs.
