For SICAM Abet Laminati focuses on finishes and new decors
From Tuesday 18TH to Friday 21ST October 2022, the International Exhibition of Components, Accessories and Semi-Finished Products for the Furniture Industry opens its doors to architects, designers and companies.
THE EXHIBITION STAND
Once again, this year, #giulioiacchetti and #matteoragni, the #design curators at #abetlaminati, have designed an exhibition space that will showcase the company’s latest innovations.
The exhibition area is developed around a central area, the Agora.
Just as in ancient times, the agora represents the centre of interaction. Today it is a convivial space, a meeting point and also a place that offers space for furnishing elements, made with MEG H, the ideal solution for horizontal outdoor applications.
Abet has chosen to combine an aluminium core, characteristic of Metalleido solutions, with the translucent surfaces of Diafos to complete the central area along with a special version of Naval Deck for the floor: a grey wood with dark lines, emphasised by the longline finish.
On either side of the area there are displays. Here, it will be possible to see the novelties of the ROCKS, LEGNI and the capsule collections from the METALLI series, as well as the new BARK finish and the GEO finish which were previewed last year. To finish, there will be the decors in digital print from the WHIMSY COLLECTION by #arthurarbesser and the already well-known proposals such as the Metalleido products and Polaris on display with two further proposals - Agave and Circè. Diafos will be used to cover the walls of the meeting room.
The exhibition space ends with a wall on which a large ‘A’ composed of more than 4000 sample cards, all decors from the Colours collection.
I MATERIALI
The great features of #sicam 2022 are the superficial finishes which always give laminate a new and sophisticated look.
The GEO finish, presented last year as a preview and added to the collection in 2022, is characterised by its basic texture and soft ripple and evokes natural elements by emphasising the three-dimensional effect of stone. Ever present are the classic finishes PAPIER, CLIMB and the newest of the proposals, OSTUNI inspired by the movements of lime. Geo, Papier, Climb and Ostuni are particularly suitable for enhancing the depth of the new decors of ROCKS collection, such as White Moon and Blue Moon.
The new Abet finish for 2022 is BARK: a distinctive texture reminiscent to nature, roots and the essence of wood, giving the laminate a material texture. It is intentionally imperfect where warmth and energy combine. This matches perfectly with many decors in the LEGNI collection such as the new Cortina Dark and Cortina Fancy, giving the surface a classic, timeless look with soft and natural effects.
Abet, will also exclusively present a great novelty: the "Metalli Scratch Resistant" (MSR) capsule collection consisting of 8 elegant scratch-resistant shades. The section dedicated to the METALLI series will host these latest proposals: decors characterised by smooth and velvety finishes but also by more structured ones. All reproductions capable of interpreting the beauty of metals, emphasising the style of the environment in a distinct style.
Finally, the WHIMSY COLLECTION, designed by #arthurarbesser and presented for the first time during the Salone del Mobile 2022, comprises 6 original decors, each in different colours.
A collection that celebrates the union between #fashion and #design created thanks to digital printing technology. The jewel in the company’s crown and called Abet Digital Factory, it offers a tailor-made service and many solutions, guaranteeing maximum flexibility in production and great aesthetic impact.
