Alegre Design in Orgatec: office furniture with extended experiences

Valencia, October 21st- International brands that collaborate with #alegredesign will showcase at #orgatec - the must-attend event for office furniture manufacturers - new projects and products designed to meet the present and future needs of corporate spaces by combining #design and technology to create extended experiences.

The list of Alegre Design’s products that will be on display in #orgatec (October 25th to 29th) include Key Smart (Kastel) Movably Pro (Movably), Dida, Pad Chair and Actiflex (Federico Giner), RB (Mobel Línea), That’s It (Quinti) and Aria (Enova).

Enova - Hall 7 C020 - C028

Aria

Aria is Alegre Design’s first furniture #design for Enova. Inspired by nature, the connection of two shapes; one rigid and one flexible, results in a light and versatile product, with no noticeable mechanisms. Less is more is the #design philosophy behind this piece which, through its lines and materials, creates an ergonomic and elegant structure. Its shape is what gives it its function.

The collaboration between #alegredesign and Enova has shaken up office seating.The mechanism is built-in, leaving only the essence of the chair in view. It has no superfluous parts of pre-existing solutions.The movement of the backrest and seat are in synch, ensuring the ergonomics and functionality of the chair throughout the working day.

Movably - Hall 7.1 | Stand: A024

Movably Pro

American start-up Movably joins forces with #alegredesign to launch their first chair to the market, Movably Pro. This professional chair is designed to get the user to move, working standing, sitting, or supporting only one leg, in a comfortable way. Movably Pro chair allows the user to change posture naturally, activating different muscles, and promoting physical well-being. It combines ergonomic #design expertise with a sleek cross-sectional aesthetic. The entire #design is supported by a horizontal cylinder-like structure. The backrest and the seat begin from this nucleus and the base is connected, giving it greater stability. The seat is divided into two halves that can be folded down independently or kept in the conventional position. This core houses the gas piston that controls the height adjustable feature of the chair, and the sensor that determines the angle of the seat.

Actiu

A+S Work

A+S Work is a chair made entirely from thermoplastic material that features a new technological platform, through a new synchronisation mechanism patented by Actiu. In the #design process, ergonomics has been awarded maximum attention and strict international standards have been applied. Thanks to its light and airy look, it’s fit in all kinds of spaces and it is an agile and versatile solution that promotes fluidity between different environments. Thermoplastics are used throughout the product: with the backrest, seat, swivel base, armrests and the different accessories offered by the new chair. This extends the life cycle of A+S Work.

Federico Giner - Hall 9.1 | Stand: A049

Dida

Dida was created to streamline learning and support the active learning methodologies of the present and of the future, in classrooms and formative corporate spaces. It aims to provide a solution for the future needs of learning methodologies: mobility, hygiene and well-being. It is a cross-disciplinary product for formative environments that ensures correct posture at all times. Recognized with an European Product #design Award 2021, it is a timeless chair capable of standing the test of time. Dida is a nice-looking, compact and highly durable chair. Thus, plastic injection technology was applied to create a simple, easy to produce product that, at the same time, had high mechanical resistance and favored a comfortable sitting position. The fusion of #design and technology generated an innovative geometry of variable thickness that guarantees its durability.

Pad Chair

Pad Chair arises from the reinvention of the classic writing-pad chair. This reinterpretation has prioritised the comfort of the student and the new needs of educational spaces, where the emphasis is on communication and teamwork. Its seat, designed ergonomically is manufactured from highly scratch-resistant plywood with a low refractive index. The #design systems of the chair’s writing pad have been designed to maximize its stability and support, thanks to an aluminum injection part with safety rails that prevent fingers from getting trapped. The ergonomics of sitting has been redesigned, proposing new curves that provide the user with greater well-being during classes.

Actiflex Collection

The Actiflex desk and table collection can be adapted to the needs and methodologies of 21st century learning methodologies, with a focus on versatility and flexibility. It favors the teamwork, communication and learning associated with the new era, while conserving the values of quality, safety and durability that distinguish this brand of furniture. This collection allows the configuration of formative space to be varied quickly, quietly and efficiently.  Constructive improvements and new geometric silhouettes of work surfaces have been designed to generate a variety of layouts that promote safety, communication, eye contact, interaction and collaboration between #people.

Key Smart

Key Smart is smart platform of office chairs with a multifunctional and fresh #design that will fit perfectly in Home Office spaces and traditional work environments alike. Its backrest resembles a petal that accompanies and supports the person during their work hours. Created through the plastic injection process, it facilitates an optimal posture in any professional, work-oriented environment. The assembly of the comfort accessories has been optimized so that no specific tools are required and accessories can be incorporated throughout its useful life in a very simple way. Key Smart has been designed in compliance with the requirements of the new European regulations applicable to office chairs, which broaden the range of measurements and dimensions to adapt them to as many users as possible.

Mobel Línea - Hall 6.1 | Stand: C058 E059

RB

RB defines a conceptualization of the open space, aligned with the evolution of new office habits. The system has prioritized decorative surfaces and finishes, to generate both individual and collective work spaces. The divider panels are based on a frameless aluminum structure covered on both sides with melamine panels, upholstery, acoustic coverings and even glass. A single profile creates the frame, uniting technical and aesthetic aspects. The entire RB system is tailored to the space, so that it respects the architecture of the building, providing dividers to the workplace. It promotes personal space, regulates noise levels and guarantees comfort and access to electrical and data connections.

Quinti - Hall 10.2 | Stand: L046

That’s It

Subtlety and elegance are the two hallmarks of the That’s it office chair, designed for the Italian brand, Quinti. Light hints of aluminium give it a unique and differentiated aesthetic. We collaborated with the brand to design, develop and manufacture a backrest created entirely using die-cast aluminium, where efficiency and optimisation in the use of raw materials took centre stage. It incorporates a seat with integrated mechanics and synchro movement. What’s more, the aluminium injection technology means the lightness of the material can be used to create outlines drawn in the air, as in the case of the armrests. This creates a 3D shape resulting in perfect ergonomics and a comfortable sitting experience day after day.
