On the occasion of the 2023 Milan #design Week #decorlab, the interior decoration showroom in via Tortona 37, returns with a renewed #design experience and new decoration solutions.

The #design Week is an #event that has become increasingly important over the years and this edition promises to be particularly interesting.

Decor Lab, the showroom in Tortona37 dedicated to personalized interior decoration, is inside one of the liveliest and busiest areas of the Milanese scene, made of installations, events and exhibitions that combine technology, aesthetics, innovation and experimentation.

A description that fits perfectly even at #decorlab: an exhibition and training space, which wants to tell the evolution of interior decoration through new proposals, innovative materials, new customization possibilities offered by the different digital technologies available on the market today.

For this reason, for the 2023 edition, within the Tortona #design Week Future To Share #event, #decorlab proposes WunderDecor, an exhibition/installation that actually sums up what this space presents daily. 

The 20 partners have created new exhibitions with coordinated atmospheres in which the new ways and methods of interior decoration are highlighted, a mix of original and innovative products to give ideas, suggestions, ideas and above all open up new creative possibilities to professionals, architects, interior designers and decorators, but also to final consumers and industry operators.

We chose WunderDecor for a reference to the Wunderkammer of the middle of the last century, to the cabinet of curiosities that represented a window on exotic worlds, collections of objects never seen for the time, even if only for a select few.

Times have changed, industrial evolution and #design have opened the way to a new way of understanding the space to live and work, and the great architects of the last century have made this approach democratic and accessible. 

Today, in the era of 4.0, mass communication, digital and metaverse, the domestic environment still changes, becoming a mix of functions and needs to be met, with increasingly sustainable materials, new concepts and above all a growing desire to be unique.

We believe that the near future will be based on the development of these two fundamental themes, closely connected, with the search for uniqueness, individuality of aesthetic and functional proposals, adapting perfectly to style, taste and needs of the customer, without sacrificing a more sustainable, more conscious approach. We have finally overcome the concept of green as a trend, to move on to greater knowledge and awareness.

Decor Lab proposes solutions that arise precisely from this concept of less waste of resources and greater production flexibility, attention to recycling and disposal of products to give new life and new opportunities. And without sacrificing a very important aspect: our solutions are born to be customizable at 360 degrees, produced on demand, use certified materials and produced by companies put an increasing commitment in this direction of sustainable quality.

This is what Wunder and uniqueness are for us.

Decor Lab / Tortona37: materials, products, solutions

Over 50 products, over 50 ideas to dress and customize an ambience, whether it is a house, an office, a hotel or a store.

How can I decorate a wall? Can I coordinate different elements of an ambience in terms of colors, subjects, images? Furniture and accessories can be customized to be perfectly suited to my taste and style? Is the glass only transparent?

The solutions are really multiple, different in use, characteristics and performance.

For example, we can use a new generation of wallpaper, such as those proposed by Ambientha, digitally printed on different types of media, adaptable as sizes, subjects, color variations to be always in line for the space we want to decorate.

Or we can think of a material film, perfect to redevelop not only a wall but also a piece of furniture or a complement, being able to draw between 400 finishes of the Benif catalogue by Polyedra.

Otherwise, a #green wall, thanks to BenettiHome stabilized vertical #green solutions, with the new flocked product of great visual impact and extremely customizable.

Engineered wood is the kingdom of Skema, who has developed a project with high technological value in which coating solutions, sound absorption solutions, and flooring and furniture that exploit this high-performance material and continuous research on #design and creative possibilities.

The textile is instead the solution proposed by ABS Group with its solutions of stretched fabrics: thanks to Descor profiles it is possible to cover large surfaces with an exceptional image quality, also being able to insert an acoustic function.

If we want to emphasize the image, Lumio lightboxes offer the right mix of ease of use and light, both to emphasize communication and to create unique and particular lighting solutions.

We return to textiles for a highly spectacular and unique product proposed by DreamLux: textile coverings that integrate optical fibers, being able to give light to subjects made to measure starting from artistic reproductions or original designs, with programming and animation for a wow effect.

And if we want to create a perfect combination between wall and floor, we can count Klamoo proposals, which offers wall coverings born from careful research of the most current trends to which carpets that reproduce the same subjects are coordinated, for an even more comfortable and original environment.

The textile is a product that is offered in particular to processing and special effects. Creazioni Digitali deals with textile printing for the world of fashion and furniture, making the most of the range of digital technologies and selecting the latest generation of materials and inks.

Special effects related to textiles also in the lighting solutions proposed by EttlinLUX. Thanks to a particular fabric, it is possible to obtain three-dimensional effects of light, integrating it in classic elements such as mirrors or lamps, but absolutely innovative and original in terms of aesthetic appearance.

Even the stained-glass windows can be dressed and adorned, both to obtain decorative effects of great aesthetic impact and to increase privacy. Lintec solutions, with its ultracrystalline materials, or innovative materials by Guandong, which use a system of suction cups that allow easy and fast installation and removal, to finish with the Squid adhesive curtains proposed by Indigital, a solution to decorate glass surfaces, printable and therefore highly customizable.

High-quality photographic reproduction is the focus of Graphicscalve research, which proposes a range of different materials to create decorative elements adaptable to shapes and sizes to each space.

The particular materials are also at the center of Apa Group research, in the realization of displays and exhibitors of new conception, born from the collaboration with designers to expand the possibilities of making a commercial space, a store or showroom unique.

A more technological aspect, however, is the proposal of CWS, a Piedmontese company that supports designers and customers in defining multimedia solutions for communication, entertainment, management of public and exhibition spaces.

Always technology, in this case related to the art world, for Haltadefinizione, which has developed a highest quality scanning system that allows to use the works of art as a unique decoration element, with unprecedented dimensional flexibility.

Furniture and accessories are instead the proposal of Pictoom, which realizes modular and customizable furniture through direct digital printing, then with subjects and graphics to be coordinated in a perfect way to the style of an ambience.

Sturm Milano offers a collection of furniture and objects that takes advantage of the great knowledge of extruded polystyrene, combining transparency and more traditional materials and integrating elements in 3D printing and maximum customization possibilities.

These and many other products are the result of constant research by #decorlab partner companies to offer a complete vision of the possibilities of decoration and customization of an ambience.

MOLECOLE – IVAN DE MENIS When art atomises matter

April 18, 19, 20, 22 and 23, 2 - 8 PM

Skema, a new entry among #decorlab partner companies, on the occasion of the #design Week, asked the artist Ivan De Menis to develop a language that would express the theme dear to the company on the relationship between matter and surface. The result is an exhibition where art atomises matter through works that highlight the changing state of matter itself and that brings to the surface all the most current questions on the concept of function, performance and symbolism of materials.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 18 to 23 April, from 2 to 8 PM.

The opening with cocktail party by invitation only will be held on Wednesday, April 19, starting at 17.00.

Colpo di scena - Unpredictable Wallpaper Collection 2023

April 21, 10 AM - 6 PM

Our partner company Ambientha presents Colpo di Scena - Unpredictable Wallpaper Collection 2023, celebrating the milestone of four years with a unique and important collection, both for the number of graphics and for the numerous collaborations with artists and designers.

A series of unexpected backdrops: inspiration, freedom, dream are distinctive features of a collection that goes beyond the schemes and techniques, to become a kaleidoscope of proposals for personalized decoration.

The #event will be open to the public on Friday, April 21 from 10 AM to 6 PM.

DreamLux presents Unlimited Edition!

April 21, 10 AM - 8 PM

Revolutionary shapes and shades for unique works of art. A vision of space, a new structure and a new method of DreamLux panels closing.

Jungle History, Black Combo and Metal Fire are the names of DreamLux creations presented at 2023 #design Week.

Exclusivity and innovation come to life in fiber optic fabrics that shine in the dark, a collection of new panels will enrich our experiential room with an immersive adventure that ignites our dreams.
