GIANNONI&SANTONI collaborazioni artistiche

On September 15th, in Pietrasanta, Giannoni & Santoni opens a new space dedicated to its Artistic Collaborations, where the deep bond between the worlds of technology, art and culture truly emerges.

Giannoni & Santoni it's a Company based in Tuscany, leader in the general contractor and artistic finishing field. It manages all-round construction projects, offering restyling, restoration, planning and #design solutions. From foundations to finishings, from concrete to frescos restoration. After more than fifty years of craft, precision, manual skills and scientific approach, the Company is now an essential reference for architects, designers and artists who want to realize creative and architectural spaces of high value. A constant dialogue and the attention paid to tailor-made projects allow artists to evolve, experiment and expand their artistic production, leading to unique results.

During the last twenty years, Giannoni & Santoni started various relationships with worldwide renowned artists, giving birth to great collaborations. This openness to art has been possible thanks to the two owners, Antonio Giannoni and Venio Santoni, whose passion and energy led the Company to test different kind of materials - concretes, gold, silver, iron and copper oxide, fibres, woods and resins - and techniques, creating new projects for the Company itself or working side by side with artists, in a shared and cooperative path where technology and art melt together.

Aurelio Amendola, Oliviero Toscani, Gianni Lucchesi, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Giovanni Ozzola, Enzo Fiore, Mino Trafeli, Kurt Laurenz Metzler, Nado Canuti, Igor Mitoraj are only a few examples.

«Collaborations with renowned and emerging artists have been the greatest incentive to the process which led us to the creation of this new area, dedicated to enhance and promote art.

Giannoni & Santoni´s artistic collaborations objective, summed up in the words of the two authors, is precisely that of “merging creativity, experience, matter and energy to carry out non- ordinary artistic projects”

For the opening, Giannoni & Santoni Collaborazione Artistiche proposes an installation that will feature Aurelio Amendola's works on multilayer okumè panels with micro-cement finish, printed with a special technique thanks to Giannoni & Santoni's know-how and skilfully illuminated by Marco Pollice, art director of Pollice Illuminazione - leader in its field from 1908 and successful consultant in lighting engineering - thanks to an innovative project, where dynamic lights give value to the artworks and protect the art's and observers' health. The result shows the artist's most famous pictures as we know them and yet, at the same time, different from the original ones. Next to these artworks, the space will also show collectible #design pieces inspired by the master's photographs, the result of an interesting #collaboration with Colé #italia, a #design company which focuses on quality, art and research, internationally known thanks to its high aesthetic and productive performances.

Showing innovation, creativity, and the infinite possibilities that technology and art are able to perform together, is the aim of this new branch of the Company. That's why, in a short future, next to Amendola's works, Giannoni & Santoni will exhibit other examples of artistic experiences and collaborations, to show architects, designers, artists and creatives how the Company skills may be applied in a wide range of artistic projects.

Aurelio Amendola: born in Pistoia in 1938, he became an art photographer, both of classical and contemporary art, with portraits of the most famous 1900s' artists, mainly friends, as Marini, Burri, Kounellis, Ceroli, De Chirico, Pomodoro, Schifano, Lichtenstein, Warhol, Pistoletto and more. Thanks to his interest in the ancient times, he started taking pictures of classical sculptures, in particular the marbles of Donatello, Canova, Bernini and, most of all, Michelangelo. In addition, he spent many years studying the relationship between the woman body and the landscape.

Opening on Friday 15.09.23 from 18:30
