Pedrali staged in Amsterdam

Pedrali, the 100% Italian company leader in the production of contemporary #design furniture for the contract and residential, takes part for the first time in Workspace #design Show Amsterdam, the international event dedicated to the workspaces of tomorrow, aimed at companies, architects, designers and end users.
From 11 to 12 October 2023, the Italian company presents its latest collections through stand B50 – hall11, located inside the congress and fair centre RAI Amsterdam, in Zuidas district.
The stand is configured as an open space, characterised by three shades of colour that define different settings. This chromatic reference is also echoed in the finishes of the furnishings on stage. #pedrali proposes its vision of work: the workspace is evolving in an increasingly dynamic and multi-faceted manner and furniture is one of the key elements in ensuring its multi-functionality.
The Toa table, designed by Robin Rizzini, takes centre stage in the first setting. Lightweight and minimalist, the Toa table is characterised by a solid die-cast aluminium frame in a fluid geometric #design, suitable to support large sized tops. Toa's main features are its tapered bridge legs made of die-cast aluminium, which are thinner at the base and widen up towards the “T” element that supports the top. Moreover, being endlessly modular in length and width and the variety of finishes in which it is offered, it’s the perfect choice for work spaces and it can also be used within different contexts and uses: from living spaces to working environments. Here fit also the Babila XL armchairs, by Odo Fioravanti, that come with a polypropylene moulded shell that stands out for the large dimension of its seat and armrests. The aim is to offer greater seating comfort, also through the padded lining reminiscent of a woman’s dress, which is completely removable so that it may be cleaned, maintained and separated from the rest of the product with ease. The shell of Babila XL is made entirely from recycled polypropylene: 50% post-consumer waste and 50% industrial waste. The setting is complemented by Ypsilon Connect, a functional free standing, sound absorbing space divider designed by Jorge Pensi #design Studio. Featuring clean lines and easily placeable in a variety of settings, Ypsilon Connect is characterised by acoustic panels that are shaped around a structure formed by two die-cast aluminium bases and extruded aluminium columns. One of the greatest strengths lies in its extensive customisation possibilities, thanks to which users can create ever new layouts and consequently manage their spaces more effectively, to create welcoming office spaces or functional training and meeting rooms, even remotely.
Pedrali responds to the strong need for external spaces also in the workspaces by creating an outdoor area in the stand’s central section. This is because companies are aware of the many advantages that greenery brings to the office: when there are outdoor spaces to relax in or when natural elements are introduced into the workplace, satisfaction and productivity increase, maintaining high levels of concentration. Here fit the Reva Cocoon by Patrick Jouin, together with the Panarea lounge armchair, designed by CMP #design and the Caementum tables by Marco Merendi & Diego Vencato.
Reva Cocoon is a system of lounge seats for outdoor use: sofas made up of linear and corner elements and chaise longues, with backrests in two different heights. The line stands out for its striking backrests in stainless steel woven with rope in weather-resistant polypropylene, for a truly natural form. With its generous volumes and high backrests, Reva Cocoon creates a space within the space, offering protection and shelter from the outside world for those seeking a moment of relaxation and escape. The idea behind Panarea is rooted in the Mediterranean coastline, and in the colours and refreshing breeze of an outdoor dinner. A lounge armchair, featuring a traditional element hand-woven in Italy. The wide and curved backrest is woven in polypropylene cord and wraps around the tubular steel frame as far as the armrests. Caementum is a single-piece concrete table. Through the addition of carefully selected additives, this highly resistant material guarantees excellent technical performance, including ease of cleaning, greater resistance to mechanical stresses and weathering, and low permeability to liquids and stains. A primitive product characterised by intrinsic charm and refined allure. Hevea, the pot-holder designed by Victoria Azadinho Bocconi, completes the setting with the Giravolta lamps designed by Basaglia Rota Nodari, characterised by a touch control and three light intensities. Hevea is a complement conceived to bring nature indoors, a pot-holder consisting of a central steel stem to which polypropylene pots are hanged, obtaining different configurations based on their number and position. This versatile object makes it possible to arrange plants vertically, without occupying areas destined for other uses.
Finally, the third scene features the Buddyhub collection by Busetti Garuti Redaelli, also available in the Buddyhub desk version, both characterised by a perimeter sound-absorbing panel that embraces the upholstery in a sort of enclosed niche. The rounded shapes of Buddyhub and bold volumes of the seat and backrest are supported by the slender lightweight frame that lightens its overall appearance, promoting functionality that makes cleaning and maintenance operations easier. Available as an armchair or sofa, with high or low panel, the functional and efficient Buddyhub offers an isolated alcove that encourages concentration and ensures acoustic and visual privacy. It is also possible to place two units opposite each other and to join them by means of a panel to which a table can be attached, thus creating an informal meeting space or break out area. A large seat, in polyurethane foam supported by elastic belts, and a cosy backrest offer exceptional comfort while working or when enjoying a private moment of relaxation away from the surrounding environment. This makes Buddyhub suitable not just for office spaces, but also for lounge areas and waiting rooms in the contract and hospitality. Buddyhub desk can be configured as a workstation, and it can be fitted with a cable management unit. Alternatively, it can be used as a temporary workstation, the top measuring 82x59 cm and 90 cm in height, designed as an intimate space for infomal work needs or for calls, in both a standing or sitting position. A pop-up socket can be provided upon request. Due to its structure and modular #design, it can be combined with other Buddyhub Desk or with lounge seats from the same collection, to partition open spaces and create collaborative and meeting areas. The workstations are completed by Nym soft armchairs, with steel frame padded with flexible polyurethane foam and swivelling base with return mechanism, and Arki-stool, a barstool with solid oak seat and legs, swivel and with gas lift device to easily change the height.
