Gandia Blasco Group at IMM Cologne 2024

Once again, Gandia Blasco Group bids farewell to the largest event in the interior design sector in Germany after revealing its novelties in collaboration with leading international figures in the industry. The Mediterranean company suggests this season to explore how furniture can transform both outdoor and indoor spaces, no matter how inhospitable they may seem, and make
them more habitable.
With the closing of the key event in the center of Europe, which inaugurates the annual calendar of international design, where it participated with a space designed by Mayice, the company thanks all those who joined them at the booth to learn about the inspiration and development process of their latest collections, experiencing them alongside those who make them possible.
Innovations in product lines, new collections, and ranges of outdoor fabrics, gathered in the same universe conceived by Mayice Layer by layer, different atmospheres subtly intertwined, guiding visitors through the new creations of GANDIABLASCO, GAN, and DIABLA, conceived by creative studios and leading figures in international design such as Patricia Urquiola, Francesco Meda & David Quincoces, José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, Charlotte Lancelot, MUT Design, Alejandra Gandía-Blasco, Dirk Wynants, Samuel Wilkinson, Made Studio, OiKo Design, Paula Valentini, Rocío Gambín, and Jorge Garaje.
With a clear environmental awareness, the staging devised by Mayice showcased the design proposals and environments of GANDIABLASCO, GAN, and Diabla at imm Cologne alongside a selection of designs from Möwee, an outdoor furniture brand that became part of the group’s distribution network this year.
New from GANDIABLASCO: Wood from sustainable forests, vitrified printed glass for outdoor use, 100% recycled outdoor fabrics, padded furniture for outdoor/
indoor, applied home automation, and contemporary craftsmanship.
Designing fluid interiors and exteriors, linked both spatially and visually, is a very contemporary architectural concept. This approach, especially inspiring for GANDIABLASCO, governed the space of the firm in this latest edition of imm Cologne.
Outdoor collections, including the innovative structure
DAYBED 4.0 designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, with its architectural lines and the machined aluminum profile that characterizes the most iconic furniture collections of the brand. Also, GBMODULAR, a new line of furniture designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales that embraces the concept of modularity and creates various types of furniture from the same extruded aluminum profile. The grained anodized aluminum in dark gold finish exhibited in GBMODULAR pieces
harmonized in the brand’s space with the white of the UMBRA White umbrella by Dirk Wynants and the IRIS tables, designed by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco, representing applied art to design: the color study of the works created by the same designer is transferred to the table tops, made of vitrified tempered glass suitable for outdoor use.
Alejandra Gandía-Blasco also signs ERNO, the modular padded pouf system that translates the concept of indoor sofa for outdoor use and allows configuring multiple scenarios. Another novelty, already presented at the Salone del Mobile 2023, is LADEMADERA, a collection designed by Francesco Meda and David Quincoces that exalts the beauty and natural elegance of teak wood from sustainable forests.
The brand has introduced new textiles at imm Cologne that, in addition to providing a renewed aesthetic, maintain high performance in outdoor environments. Such is the case of the Libera range from Dedar Milano, voluminous and rich in textures like bouclé, or the proposals of the Reviva firm, which present captivating weaves and design patterns and are produced based
on recycled PET.
DIABLA: Monomaterial chairs with attitude, to fill the outdoors with color.
The stand devised by Mayice interwove the personalities of the different brands of Gandia Blasco Group, appealing to the most casual, unpredictable, and fanciful connection with the outdoors from the atmosphere dedicated to Diabla at imm Cologne.
An attitude materialized in its latest collections of chairs, where it approaches design with a creative mindset for both nomadic lifestyles and for projecting all kinds of domestic, urban, and contract spaces.
TUBA by Samuel Wilkinson, EASY by Rocío Gambín, and PLIER by OiKo Design embody the originality and freshness of Diabla thanks to the creativity of its designers and the use of materials that prioritize durability and waste minimization. Chairs with character, in an atmosphere completed with the CLASSE chairs and the folding table UNI by Möwee, an outdoor furniture brand belonging to the distribution network of Gandia Blasco Group.
GAN presents its latest releases Rugs, spaces, and design accessories made with artisanal techniques and created by established and emerging talents in the sector took
center stage in the GAN environment at imm Cologne. MANGAS OUTDOOR, the line designed by Patricia Urquiola that brings the comfort and warmth characteristic of MANGAS SPACE to outdoor spaces and celebrates its 10th anniversary, occupied a privileged
place. Other outdoor rug collections such as CITRUS Orange by Jorge Garaje and SALINE by Made Studio added their warmth and texture to the environments of GANDIABLASCO and Diabla.
Cologne also hosted the premiere of SUNSET, hand-knotted in virgin wool and designed by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco to transfer to a design object her artistic exploration around light and its materiality; GIRO Black and Peach, which take shape through spirographic curves by MUT Design and the magic of hand-tufting; and CHIMOS, conceived by José A. Gandía-Blasco, which also uses the art of tufting to bring to life fun and nostalgic pieces. The innovative REVERSIBLE series,
by Charlotte Lancelot, which combines threads and materials to achieve two finishes at once through a new and complex hand-loom technique, also stood out at imm Cologne 2024.
