chair with armrests is named after a character from Ubik, a novel by PhilipK. Dick which captured Starck’s imagination. At first sight, the extremely honest and rigorous designlooks stripped to its essentials to highlight the functional nature of the object, yet the backrest pushesforwards hooking itself onto the arms which in turn curve boldly curve down to becomes the legswith a gentle change of proportions. The clean lines becomes complex, the object slides into another dimension and takes on an expressive physical presence.

Chair with armrests. Structure in steel tubing painted with epoxy powders, in metallic silver (am) or mattblack RAL 9005 (n). Seat in rigid polyurethane painted in black (n). Black rubber feet
