Preview Villari at Salone del Mobile 2014
Villari in Wonderland. From 8th until 13th April at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the Italian company famous for its luxury porcelain is going to recreate these dreamy, enchanting but also ironic atmospheres that the Reverend Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, worldwide known as Lewis Carroll, depicted in its masterpiece published in 1865. Villari stand will represent a vernal garden, covered with tender green grass: the perfect location to host a sumptuous picnic.
Hundreds of porcelain butterflies, hanging from the ceiling or lying on the walls, will lighten the whole space: the light will directly come both from these graceful creatures and from the myriad of Swarovski crystals encrusted on their soft wings. There will be many white rabbits crouched in the grass and all around an elegant canopy, set for an unforgettable tea time. On a refined striking decorated table, the most desired Villari tea set will embody the superb art of hospitality.
The original choice of a dreamlike setting, truly inspired by the Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, suggests that the magic can burst into our everyday life: it is enough to watch the life with a pure look.
As Alice fell down into the Rabbit hole, so the visitors of the Salone del Mobile will enter in a fantastic and surprising universe following the white porcelain rabbits. Placed ant hall 4, stand E15-E21, the Villari world will undoubtedly speak English: in addition to the tribute to Lewis Caroll and to the traditional tea time, the Villari Empire tableware will be another special protagonist. It is dedicated to the Queen Elizabeth, the great Queen who reigned for more than 50 years and defended her own freedom and the independence of her country...
