Billiani: A History-filled Future on Display at the 2015 International Furniture Fair
“Belonging. The word chosen to tell the story of a job, a journey, a feeling, and a confirmation. Starting in the workshop, which becomes a witness to living values reconfirmed on a daily basis: Italian culture, care, executive excellence, craftsmanship, design, and reluctance to outsource”.
This is the premise of the new Billiani story, made up of stylistic research, innovation and the consolidation of its roots. Belonging to a territory, where the chair is the undisputed component around which a community is established, and knowledge has been entrenched and strengthened for centuries. Belonging to a tradition that began with an old artisan soul, to then give rise to high- quality and technologically-advanced products. Continual research by the company, aimed at keeping it up-to-date, has sparked virtuous relationships with designers, as well as a corporate style that is always permeable to changes in culture, fashion and customs. Keeping up-to-date is essential in order to continue to create beautiful chairs: chairs that accommodate your dreams. Remaining anchored in the tradition of a noble material such as wood, however, is equally essential, for rereading the traces of our own past and transforming them into thoughts, projects and new creations.
The new catalogue contains twenty-one products that represent the attention paid to quality materials and a continuous quest for beauty. “In choosing a design, a function, and a combination of materials and colours to greet the many moments of the lives of others, we equip ourselves with participation, competence and care. When making a chair, we become part of what we love doing”.
The image has been provided by Lara Vidotto who, in collaboration with Beppe Brancato, a nationally - and internationally - renowned photographer specialized in interior design, has understood and interpreted the direction in which Billiani wants to move: to offer unique and high- quality products and explore and represent beauty.
