July 23, 2020.- In these times of change, in which schools are working hard to adapt to the hygiene, safety and flexibility needs of their spaces for the upcoming school year, #alegredesign studio has collaborated closely with the Spanish FG furniture manufacturer to develop and #design chairs and tables that meet the needs of the educational field.

Products that have been developed and designed by applying the studio's new Agile #design method, which brings together two decades of work and experience designing for companies around the world and that can be summarized in three main areas: Business #design, #design Research and Product #design.

"The mission of #design is to anticipate what #people need right now and in the future. At #alegredesign, we have analyzed and studied what students and teachers hope to find in the classroom, in addition to identifying the requirements of educational spaces for the upcoming school year. These pieces of furniture are the result of extensive international research that revolves around two axes. The first covers standards, products, materials and components whose use will predominate in the educational sector from now on. The second has focused on the comprehensive study of factors that affect safety, the space and the user," explains #marceloalegre, CEO of the #design studio.

Alegre #design has spent years dedicating itself to the #design of furniture for educational and training spaces all around the world, from Colombia all the way to Spain, Italy and Asia. 

The new items in the FG catalog designed by #alegredesign include a range of protective desk dividers approved by the Spanish Ministry of Education that manage to create individual study spaces. Designed in a single piece of methacrylate (PMMA), they allow for easy maintenance and cleaning.

The Actiflex Tables incorporate a multipurpose construction system composed of an aluminum injection part that allows for the incorporation of metal, aluminum and wooden legs of different heights and angles, with or without wheels. 

The Pad Chair has been updated to improve the stability of the chair's writing pad by means of an aluminum injection part that gives it the strength of a desk while maintaining its flexible nature within the classroom thanks to its ability to respect social distancing, a principle that has also been taken into account in the redesign of the Actiflex desks that, with their new geometric silhouettes of the work surface, promote social distancing while still allowing for communication.

Actiflex Tables

The Actiflex Tables incorporate a multipurpose construction system composed of an aluminum injection part that allows for the incorporation of metal, aluminum and wooden legs of different heights and angles, with or without wheels. Tables with regular, asymmetric and complementary work surfaces. 

Their construction system is applicable to all types of work surfaces from classroom tables and laboratories to tables for the cafeteria or for teachers and other school personnel.

Pad Chair

The chair's writing pad systems have been designed to maximize its stability and support, thanks to an aluminum injection part with safety rails that prevent fingers from getting trapped. This technical innovation gives the writing pad the strength and functionality of a static desk, but with a dynamic nature that makes the classroom flexible. The seat has been redesigned for enhanced comfort. 

Actiflex Desk 

Constructive improvements and new geometric silhouettes of work surfaces have been designed to generate a variety of layouts that promote safety and social distancing, while also allowing for the communication that teamwork requires.

Desk Panels

The #design of these panels meets the criteria of maximum hygiene, resistance and safety of use, with rounded edges. The panels are adapted to the FG school desks that are certified by the Spanish Ministry of Education. They are designed in a single piece of methacrylate (PMMA), without joints or unions, allowing for efficient maintenance and cleaning. Their different shapes can adapt to each classroom.
