Coming from the land of grain growers, #faina has given its respect to the important element in the life of the Slavs — bread. That is how an interior homage HLIB was created (in Ukrainian "bread").
Bread is a symbol of life and well-being. With bread and salt, Ukrainians greeted guests and entered a new house. In ancient times, a grain offering was brought to house spirits for the harmony, and to the spirits of the earth — to welcome a good harvest.
We embodied the sacrament of the bread in a beige furniture set. SYTO wall decor (Ukrainian "sieve"), PECHYVO cabinet (in Ukrainian "biscuits"), PAMPUKH sofa and armchair (in Ukrainian "bun") and KUMANEC (in Ukrainian "ancient vessels") vases with bread-like crusty textures.
Traditional pottery with a hole-bagel transformed into modern interior decor. Benevolent, tactile, living — KUMANEC serves as an amulet of the space, not just a vase.
PECHYVO cabinet with mesmerizing facade cookie holes — carefully sculpted by potter's hand and baked to crispy crust in the local oven.
Deriving the form of a traditional rounded fluffy bun PAMPUKH armchair embraces with comfort and softly melts beyond everyone who sits on it.
FAINA's sieve SYTO is wall decor, reminiscent of indigenous traditions. The naive #design brings to mind a caring hand sifting the flour for a fragrant pie.
"In #faina pieces we're trying to re-read the story.
Our #design world is all about getting back to the simple, primal, sincere."
