New indoor finishes for new outdoor experiences

Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

The cosiest and most intimate relaxation corner is not within four walls.

In addition to collections and designs, the 2021 #gandiablasco catalogue also features new materials, textures and colours chosen with the aim of bringing the warmth and intimacy necessary for a complete and personalised feeling of comfort to the outdoors in connection with the environment and architecture.

New exclusive, durable and practical finishes come to life when applied to outdoor furniture and accessories designed by renowned designers and offer alternatives to Ibizan white and anodised aluminium. Materials, textures and colours to feel, touch and see up close.

Neutral colours expand the aluminium colour palette.

The luminous white of Ibizan vernacular architecture and anodised aluminium, hallmarks of #gandiablasco for more than 25 years, is expanding its spectrum with new shades. Meanwhile, it continues to evolve and explore nuances and depths to connect with today’s spaces and users.

The new season adds three new shades for the thermo-lacquering of the structures, bottle green, quartz grey and copper, selected by the #gandiablasco team and #lucanichetto.

Greens, greys and coppery tones are reminiscent of materials found in nature such as glass, minerals and metals and provide warmth, timelessness and elegance. They harmonise with the landscape, bring peace and add the right touch of style and differentiation in combination with materials such as wood and ceramics, which gain presence in the 2021 catalogue, and, one of inviting fabrics.

The PICNIC hammock, by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales, is represented in the dark grey monochrome - with the light folding structure in quartz grey and Fondo Roccioso, one of the Strange Loves fabrics by Dedar Milano - in one of the most elegant, actual and unconventional versions for this kind of #design.

The bottle green reaches its maximum expression dressing elements such as the micro-perforated aluminium sheet of BOSC, by Made Studio, whose motifs evoke the craftsmanship of Mediterranean plant fibres. This tonality finds a natural balance with the iroko wood, which appears in the armrests, and the soft tones of the thick cushions – Domino joker and Zori matcha tones by Sunbrella® – and mats –in the Zori miso grey shades –.

In these environments featuring the CAPA collection by Søren Rose, bottle green meets the legendary African wood, iroko, once again, and demonstrates its versatility when combined with the soft fabrics for quilts and cushions in contrasting tones. Here we find the black of the new Atlas Plain series by Jover (shade 98) and the ecru of the Patio collection by Kvadrat, as well as the Dekton® of the table top - made from recycled materials by Cosentino - in the Radium and Danae versions. The Diamond kilims by Charlotte Lancelot for GAN, handmade from recycled PET fibres, add a touch of colour.

ONDE, the collection born from the collaboration with #lucanichetto, merges indoors and outdoors, bringing the office or lounge club out into the garden. The X-legs that have already become the hallmark of this acclaimed collection can be finished in the new textured copper finish. This detail shows a particularly beautiful contrast with other parts of its characteristic structure drawn by the corrugated aluminium sheet in white, together with neutral textiles - such as grey 2E or ecru 07 from the Atlas Plain by Jover fabric collection -, and with materials as interesting as Dekton® by Cosentino - in colours such as the Nordic white Zenith.

Wood, ceramics and ultra-compact surfaces enrich the #gandiablasco universe with infinite possibilities for outdoor living.W

The creative stroke of #lucanichetto, Søren Rose, Mayice Studio and Made Studio reinterpret in ONDE, CAPA, BUIT and BOSC GANDIABLASCO’s concern for creating intimate atmospheres that are organically integrated into the space. The launch of the new 2021 collections has been the perfect opportunity to incorporate new materials capable of adapting to constantly evolving uses, habits and lifestyles, as well as to any environment, from private gardens to contract projects.

The range of surface finishes continues to expand with Dekton®, an innovative material developed by Cosentino that #gandiablasco has incorporated into its portfolio in a total of 11 variants, including the Kreta tone as a novelty.

Wood, which until now had teak as its main exponent in the brand’s catalogue, now acquires more weight thanks to the new tables and details - such as the armrests - in iroko. Durability, beauty and warmth in a perfect counterpoint to GANDIABLASCO’s aluminium profiles. The BOSC table in black thermo-lacquered aluminium is shown in these images with a Dekton® Kreta surface and iroko wood.

In the same vein, a new wood-effect aluminium variant - in two tones: golden oak and teak - comes to #gandiablasco with the recently launched CELOSIAS and some of its best-known series, such as DNA, DAYBED and PERGOLAS.

The iconic PERGOLAS collection by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales is also updated with ceramic finishes for the modules with floor and with the seal of TAU Cerámica, a benchmark brand in the manufacture and marketing of ceramic floor and wall tiles.

Anodised aluminium and all the thermo-lacquered finishes available are combined with ultra-compact surfaces, natural materials and fabrics with different textures. GANDIABLASCO’s customisation options are inspiring. The boundaries between indoors and outdoors are blurring and the outdoor spaces of the future are increasingly multifunctional, warm and personalised.

Textiles, a key ingredient for outdoor livability

Performance - in terms of durability and resistance - is a non-negotiable factor when choosing outdoor upholstery. But #gandiablasco, which this year celebrates its 80th anniversary keeping alive its legacy of long textile tradition, goes beyond this to pay special attention to the #design and aesthetics of these technical fabrics. This is why the mats and cushions in the #gandiablasco collections now offer an immense chromatic range of more than 70 shades organised into three thematic lines: Nautical, Soft and Warm.

This season, the Soft series incorporates the Atlas Plain by Jover line, made up of a dozen variants of highly resistant upholstery fabrics, protected against ultraviolet rays and designed to dress outdoor furniture exposed to direct sunlight.

On the other hand, the Warm section unveils the eight powdery shades of the new Zori by Sunbrella® line, with minimalist aesthetics and a subtle satin look.

The Majestic and Domino fabrics - both by Sunbrella® - land in the #gandiablasco textile finishes catalogue to give presence to the cushions and add their homely character to the timelessness and functionality of its seats. In this living room, ONDE is presented in blue grey and sand for the structures combined with mats upholstered in Atlas Plain 7K fabric and cushions in Zori nami and Majestic quartz.

Warm category also continues to offer the innovative Patio fabric, a special outdoor fabric developed by the Danish company Kvadrat and available in 9 shades. Also developed together with Kvadrat-Febrik is the special outdoor quilted fabric that braids the aluminium mesh of the award-winning BUIT pieces, a collection by Mayice Studio, to transform them into groundbreaking armchairs and poufs, after an exhaustive R&D development.

Finally, the retro feel of combinations such as Carrot stick, Cocco bello or Sale e pepe show just a hint of what the new Strange loves by Dedar Milano selection of striped patterns has to offer. Thus, the casual PICNIC and the classic TIMELESS exude Mediterranean essence and personality without stridency.
