Mathy by Bols, the Asymetry collection completed with an evolving co-sleeper cradle

At #mathybybols, we have been working for several months on a new product and we are proud to announce that our Asymetry collection is growing!

We offer you an evolving co-sleeping cradle that will accompany you from birth.

A co-sleeping crib is generally used for up to 6 months of baby, but we have designed our co-sleeping crib to have an even longer lifespan since it can be used either in an office or in a bench.

Co-sleeping, what is it?

The co-sleeping cradle is an extension to the parents' bed and allows you to sleep near baby during his first six months. This proximity reassures both the baby and the parents, adopting a co-sleeping bed helps promote more serene nights.

The Asymetry collection is growing and accommodating an evolving co-sleeping cradle. Based on the solid fir sides of the Asymetry desk, the co-sleeping cradle is placed on the side of the parents' bed and is fixed with straps. Its removable barriers allow direct access to the baby. In addition, the closed walls of the bed are reminiscent of mom's tummy and reassures baby that the child feels safe. A co-sleeping bed is generally used until baby can stand up on its own (approximately 6 months), but our Asymetry co-sleeping has an even longer lifespan since it can be used either in an office or in a bench.

Evolution of co-sleeping

- co-sleeping: a barrier can be removed to facilitate access to the parents' bed.

- for office use: the co-sleeping module is rotated 90 ° + the two bar barriers can be removed. the desk can evolve in height like the asymetry desk.

- for bench seating: the two bar barriers are removed and the bench can be adjusted in height in the same way as the asymetry desk.

Manon Alves

"A young French designer with an eco-friendly approach."

In her creations, Manon Alves manifests an alliance between new uses and a return to the quality of craftsmanship. Its productions are distinguished by their evolutionary character and their multiple stages of life where the product grows in parallel with the user. The #design vision of this young designer takes into account the current environmental concerns and new emerging needs of our society in order to change our consumption patterns towards a reasoned, sustainable and qualitative consumption. The notions of eco-responsibility and scalability define her soft lines creations, manifest of a strong identity and an eco-commitment.

The Asymetry collection

Asymetry is a range of storage furniture with soft and asymmetrical lines based on the active pedagogy developed by Maria Montessori.

Based on the active pedagogy developed by Maria Montessori, Asymetry enables to develop the autonomy and motor skills of the child from an early age by offering scalable furniture adapted to the height of the child. This collection is composed of a wardrobe, a shelf and a desk. The child can easily access to his belongings, choose by himself and make his own decisions independently.

The range is designed to optimize and rationalize production thanks to its standardized forms and its evolving nature that give to the collection an eco-design approach. The Asymetry collection evolves according to the new needs of the child. Based on the Montessori pedagogy, the Asymetry collection accompanies the child in his growth and guides him in his learning. The autonomy, the motor skills but also the imagination of the child are constantly soliciting. The Asymetry collection offers a range of products adapted to the needs of the child that will grow and evolve with him.

Two typologies of kits are designed. On one hand, side extension kits that add some functional elements following the continuity of the product and enlarge it in length. For example, the single shelf can become double or triple or can be combined with the desk because the assembly systems is identical on both products. On the other hand, vertical extension kits are designed in order to enlarge the products at the same time as the child is growing so the height and use are always adapted. These kits are the strength of the collection, from the #design phase the principle of scalability has been integrated.

Always in this principle of scalability, the desk is designed to evolve with the child. For this, 4 heights are offered: 42cm for toddlers, 53cm then 64cm and finally 75cm which corresponds to a standard size of teenager and adult desk. In the same idea as the desk, the bench also offers different heights of sitting in correlation with the three higher heights of the desk: 31cm then 38cm and finally 45cm.

Composed of solid pine wood with MDF elements added. The woods are PEFC registered. It is available in natural varnish and 26 water based lacquers.
