Sicis: the novelties presented at Cersaie 2022

Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

Cersaie 2022 has recently ended, bringing optimum results in turnout and international participation, getting close to the numbers of the editions preceding the pandemic.

This year #sicis has decided to present itself without frills, giving more space to the products, shown on walls dedicated to colour boards and wide LED screens, showing tutorials for the application and working of materials and inspirational images of the completed projects.

We found a clear division of spaces between the two coating solutions proposed by #sicis: mosaic and Vetrite.

We have found glass mosaic collections that, over the years, gained their place in the interior world thanks to their unusual characteristics. We're talking about Diamond, with its rhombus-shaped tesserae and the three-dimensional elements; Crystal, with its lozenge shape; Structura, with the particular application that alternates tesserae with different thicknesses and sizes; Tephra, with its irregular and tactile surface.

This year, Trigono enriches this already wide range of shapes. As the name suggests, the collection presents tesserae in a triangular shape, presented in delicate hues, such as powder pink, sage and powder blue, combined with stronger ones following the Earth tones.

The other novelty of this year is Ragtime. The collection consists of tesserae created with a unique technique: they are produced in transparent colour and singularly painted on the back to create unequal lines and give an effect of movement and liveliness.

Another cornerstone of the glass mosaic offer is the backlit mosaic. Decorations composed of special semi-transparent tesserae applied with a transparent fibre mesh on LED panels come to life thanks to the light, which creates fascinating chiaroscuro effects. It was interesting to admire the juxtaposition of the artistic and pixel technique, which allowed us to appreciate the different types of working on the same decoration.

There was also no shortage of marble mosaic collections, a milestone of #sicis production with which the company made its debut over 30 years ago, revised and enriched for the occasion with new graphical patterns.

Coming to Vetrite, large laminated glass slabs in 120x280cm format, we find the most recent collections, Gem Glass and Sight - the latter created in collaboration with Studio Marco Piva last year - and for the first time the Onigem collection, presented in absolute preview at the Salone del Mobile 2022. 15 slabs inspired by the limestone onyx's fascinating motifs, in various hues going from natural ones to other brighter and surprising. To better meet the needs of designers, each colour of Onigem slab comes in 3 or 4 variants that can be placed next to each other to create a continuative #design without having to use the book-match application.

Like the previous collections, Onigem is available in Solid and Satin finishings and in the irresistible Opalescent finishing, which allows backlighting.

Space also for the small format of Vetrite, Tile: glass tiles (here shown in 29,6x29,6cm and 60x120cm sizes) which offer greater ease of handling, working and laying than their large sisters and therefore suitable for projects on a smaller scale. #sicis also presented the new Havana collection, consisting of 20 repeatable decors inspired by the decorations of the Habana Vieja houses.

Finally, the parapets, anticipated at Cersaie 2021 and here shown in the new "French" application: the Vetrite slab, in the 20mm thickness certified for this kind of use, is applied flush with the wall using special lateral supports.

So many innovations have been presented, confirming #sicis as a company constantly in turmoil, which has made innovation one of its main strengths.
