Outstanding icons

The spring news from #sikadesign is iconic exterior furniture in the color “Alu-Natural”. The unique attribute of this color is that it is hand-painted with great precision inspired by natural rattan.

Among the hand-painted exterior news, you will find Arne Jacobsen’s Charlottenborg lounge chair complemented by a coffee table and a brand new 2-seater and 3-seater sofa in the same iconic #design. You will also find two new hand-painted dining chairs; the iconic Robert chair designed in 1901, and the elegant bistro- inspired Lulu chair.

The Exterior-collection is literally outstanding. The furniture can be used outdoors all year round as it is manufactured from extremely weather-resistant materials. This means, that they can withstand both frosty weather, heavy rain, and UV radiation.

The passion for good craftsmanship

Since 1942, #sikadesign has cherished good craftsmanship and taken pride in creating furniture that can last for many years - both in terms of #design and quality. Therefore, the new exterior furniture is also made using techniques that require great expertise.

To achieve the best result, the furniture is powder coated and then hand painted. This is a craft that requires time and precision, and where it takes about 5 hours to paint a single lounge chair. The quality of good craftsmanship is also seen and felt in the cushion range, which is handcrafted at Sika-Design’s own studio, located at the headquarter in Denmark.

Craftsmanship, comfort, and durability have always been core values at #sikadesign, and with the new iconic exterior furniture, it is possible to create a beautiful outdoor area that can create joyful moments all year round.
