THE TACTILE AND VISUAL BEAUTY OF ARGILLE IN GERVASONI SHOWROOM
On the occasion of Milan #design Week 2023, the city of Milan becomes a map on which to search for HDsurface surfaces: Argille was chosen to create a textured envelope designed to softly embrace the highlights of 2023 and the iconic products of the #gervasoni brand, a leading company in the furnishing sector.
For Fuorisalone 2023, designer #federicabiasi presents 'Tao', the showroom setting at via Spartaco conceived to create a path to discover the #gervasoni world, between past and future. The space, made more abstract, is clothed in a criss-cross work of veiled drapery that amplifies a feeling of meditative relaxation, decorating and subdividing spaces defined by neutral, soft colours. The natural element accompanies visitors throughout the showroom: plants and flowers, framed by veils, follow one another along the entire route.
In this context, the characteristic imperfections of clay, used to cover all the walls of the space in ash colour, dialogue harmoniously with the indoor and outdoor furnishings thanks to the strong textured material effect that creates a connection with the earth.
An all-natural wall covering with spatula-effect finish, HDsurface's product comes from a mixture of clay, natural cellulose fibre, natural lime and micronised marble powders. Easily spread onto vertical surfaces, this coating transforms the action of human hands into a decorative effect, and its granular composition creates richly wrinkled surfaces that transform reflected light into a suffused gleam. A totally breathable material, clay has been used since antiquity thanks to its intrinsic properties which enable it to naturally regulate the temperature and humidity of the rooms where it is applied.
The product’s natural performances thus combine with the masterly skill of HDsurface in the creation of innovative surfaces that are able to shape the character of interiors through the vibrant colour variations of authentic matter. The colours chosen for the Argille collection are the result of a mixture with coloured earths and oxides, colours that embrace a wide range of hues from neutral to earthy colours with a strong reference to matter, passing through blues, reds and greens capable of narrating the most diverse imaginations and giving space to one's creative freedom.
Argille has a variable and customisable appearance, which can be modified through the laying process, and induces the visitor to retrace with his or her own hands the movements of those who applied it. With a surface irregular in appearance and thickness, the Argille coating is pleasantly porous and velvety to the touch, and embraces and brings warmth to the interiors.
