Abet Laminati at Milano design week 2023

For Fuorisalone 2023, Abet Laminati has conceived an original extension of the Bra company, called Abet Factory, which will land in the heart of Milan, at 44 Corso Garibaldi during Brera #design Week from April 18th to 23rd 2023.

Completely against the trend of those who consider Fuorisalone as an isolated moment limited to the creation of communication spin-offs, #abetlaminati has thought about its presence in a pragmatic but no less spectacular way. Indeed, for the occasion, Abet will show through its iconic samples the company's production and its own true essence.

The space in Corso Garibaldi will not only be populated with laminate samples but also with people - including planners, architects and designers - who will be able to choose their own palette and combine it as they wish to create a micro-collection, expressing personal aesthetic choices or in line with the latest trends.

Each designer will be able to create and manage a personalised collection, choosing from the many colours offered by the Abet ranges.

The sample will be the main showpiece, both for the creation of small palettes and for the display area. In fact, there will be over 210 different decors and a big ‘A’ made up of shades from the Colours Collection.

The idea was born from the creativity of our #design curators, Giulio Iacchetti and Matteo Ragni, who decided to communicate, in an unprecedented way, about the value and widespread use of laminate in today's world: in our homes, in architecture and even in industrial #design projects.

As always, #abetlaminati supports the most prestigious #design brands with its materials for the Milan event, both within the fair itself and in numerous presentations and installations around the city.

PARTNERSHIPS

ABET for #euroluce | Salone del Mobile, Pad.9-11 e 13-15

After a four-year break, #euroluce returns to the Salone del Mobile in Milan with an event dedicated to lighting. "The City of Lights" is this year's concept and theme, above all suggesting the power of imagination and the reality of vision that will characterise its interdisciplinary cultural content.

‘Albe. Luci di domani’ is one of the planned exhibits curated by Matteo Pirola. The .6mm lamp, designed by the Panter&Tourron studio for the 'SuperSuperfici! the spirit of Memphis reloaded' project, will be on display.

A flat, transparent lamp in which function, interface and structure come together, the .6mm lamp is the result of an analysis - visual, tactile and auditory. It incorporates Diafos, a translucent and capacitive surface - capable of transforming fingers into conductors that induce a change in the electric field to generate commands, as in a touch screen.

Panter&Tourron created a Diafos sheet with a string of LEDs, electronic components, an extra-large dimmer and flat electrical cables, completing the transformation of all the product's functional elements into aesthetic details.

ABET for #foppapedretti | Salone del Mobile, Pad.14, Stand E28-E30

Foppapedretti, which for almost 80 years has promoted the values of Made in Italy, eco-sustainability and experience in woodworking, will be present at the Salone del Mobile with "Iconica", the outdoor furniture collection designed by Ezio Foppa Pedretti.

"Iconica" was born from the concept of eco-sustainability: in fact, all the components are manufactured using FSC-certified wood. For this collection, #foppapedretti has also chosen Abet products, namely the decorative 546 Tivoli and 1469 Galassia Greige from the Rocks Collection to form part of the display.

ABET for TWILS | Salone del Mobile, Pad.6, Stand A39-B34

Twils, the historic Veneto-based company that produces textile beds and sofas with great passion and attention to detail, has confirmed its presence at this year's Salone del Mobile. On this event, Twils has chosen 547 Tivoli Greige from the Rocks Collection for the reception and bar counter, designed by Matteo Ragni. These decors are combined with Climb finish which is characterised by a light, pleasant and non-invasive ripple that recalls natural elements.

Twils, like #abetlaminati, has a sense of beauty that derives from the culture of the territory in which it was born and is reflected in the authentic ‘Made in Italy’ style and #design it has always promoted.

ABET for #zanotta | Salone del Mobile, Pad.2, Stand B15-C14

This year, Zanotta's Quaderna range is once again expanding with the introduction of new pieces.

The products in the Quaderna range are the result of a highly industrialised process coupled with meticulous craftsmanship. The furniture is manufactured using honeycomb wood covered in white laminate with an isotropic check pattern.

The iconic Misura decorative grid, part of the #abetlaminati collection, is an original #design by Superstudio in 1969 - made famous by Quaderna furniture from 1972.

Today, the series is recognised as one of the icons of #design history, but also as a collection manifesto of 'radical design'.

ABET for DIMORESTUDIO | Via Sammartini 63

For its 20th anniversary, Dimorestudio - founded in 2003 by Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci, has designed a large installation to be placed in the exhibition space of DIMORECENTRALE.

Silence will visually narrate the #design concept: five different environments that have made the 'Dimore' universe unique and outspoken in the world.

Abet Laminati will be involved with its 873 from Metalli Series. 873 in the Satinata finish is part of the selection dedicated to decors inspired by metals, able to give the sensation of undoubted refinement and elegance.

ABET per LOMBRELLO | Via Solferino 2

An key presence at Fuorisalone is Lombrello, which is celebrating its fifth birthday this year. It is situated in the same location that originally brought it to the attention of the general public - Solferino street.

Andrea Forapani's brand specialises in unconventional chairs, with the bright colours of the Colours collection and the textures of the upholstery being the absolute centrepiece.

This year, to celebrate this great achievement, Andrea Forapani has saved a great novelty for Fuorisalone – one giving a new shape to laminate surfaces.

ABET for MASTERLY THE DUTCH | Palazzo Giureconsulti

The innovative designer Carina Riezebos and the creative art director Maarten Spruyt announced a #collaboration with the company Blok Plaatmateriaal to create an immersive installation for 'Masterly - The Dutch in Milan'.

The two artists have created an innovative and exceptional series of four-metre-high arches that interact in a rhythmic and balanced way with the original columns of Palazzo Giureconsulti.

The focal point of this dynamic composition is Esacore LEM by #abetlaminati which forms part of the Metalleido range. Comprising an aluminium honeycomb core and epoxy glass fibre skins, this extremely durable and lightweight material is resistant to the elements making it ideal for a wide range of applications. Riezebos and Blok Plaatmateriaal decided to emphasise the aesthetic aspect of the material and create a multi-sensory experience, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the installation.

ABET for PAUL KELLEY | Superstudio

Paul Kelley, recognised as one of the UK's most innovative designers, is exhibiting for the first time in Milan for 'Unexplained Objects' at Super Studio. The exhibition, entitled 'RE-MAKE, RE-MODEL, RE-IMAGINE', will feature his multi-functional magnetic cubes.

For this show, these will be presented in a selection of Abet Laminati's colours and finishes in a mix of iconic decors such as those by Sottsass and more recent designs by Arthur Arbesser. The magnetic system designed by Kelley allows the cubes to be connected in any direction, giving the user complete freedom to choose their #design and change it whenever they wish.

ABET for THIS IS DENMARK | Alcova (C16)

‘This is Denmark’ is the exhibition offering a journey of discovery through Denmark. It is curated by Elena Cattaneo and Laura Traldi with installation #design by Matteo Ragni Studio.

This #collaboration between the Royal Danish Embassy, the Confederation of Danish Industry and Creative Denmark is characterised by a series of objects that contribute to the creation of an experience aimed at highlighting some of the most fascinating concepts of the local culture.

The immersive installation is made up of a wooden walkway that rises out of the water - created with the Metalli Series laminates, in particular with 726 Magma and 880 Lucida finishes. The walkway connects a group of islands that allow visitors to discover the products of the 15 companies selected for the exhibition, which can be visited at Alcova 2023.
